By the way, not sure if you notice but you went the wrong way on 128. If your opponent isn't on a finish then go however you feel, but as he was on D20 you need to be giving yourself the best chance. Correct route is first dart at 18s. T18, T18 for D10 or 18, T20 for Bull. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but wanted to add it as board management can mean the difference between a dart at double or nothing, essentially being it can be why you win or lose a game.
It was 128 in my notes not 118! Which kind of over emphasises my point on getting those bigger or 3 digit numbers sorted in my head! 😅thanks for the note though, appreciate any feedback from all the gang! 👍
Hello there, I was the eventual winner of this comp, was great to be apart of it and it's purpose. It managed to raise £687 in the end, a very impressive number for sure.
@@Darts_Matt It finished at about half five, and there was a blind pairs afterwards to help raise a bit more money. The final was 4-2 in the end, power scoring certainly helped with 4 180’s in the final and we were both very clinical when we had the chances.
Defo a pleasure playing you mate even though the result didn’t go your way this time there was plenty of great darts in between. Look forward to the next one mate 💪🏻
Brilliant Matt. Great channel, love it. I felt your sense of achievement irrespective of the result and your enjoyment of the day right down the barrel of the lens. Very inspiring. Thanks champion.
I try Matt. Just set up my own darts land so hoping to join in online soon. I’ve watched your previous post for online setup and it’s very helpful. Still trying to get comfy with my grip and the right set of arrows. Great work for dementia to pal 🤝
Well done for the first win Matt, you'll learn better ways on how to manage the board, the more comps you play and especially in pub league as well. Maybe try some different ways when you're against the dartbot and your confidence will improve as well. Don't worry about the nerves, they'll subside a little with time, it's always good to feel a little nervous. Keep up the good work 👍🏼🎯
Thanks Ash, yes I think also it's the environment that makes you sloppy. Of course I know 128 but it's just being able to think clear when playing live. We will get there, thanks as ever for your support matey 🤙🎯
Well done on getting a win! No worries about the double trouble, even the best will miss a few from time to time. Some stories: Last year I had a game where I started with 7 perfect darts, only to spend the next 25 darts trying to take it out. Won that leg on a D1. On the flip side, I had a 301 game where I got in on my 24th dart and ended only needing 6 more darts to win (that was one of those one and done tournaments too. My opponent was not thrilled). The shakes will come with time, and likely pop up in higher pressure situations. I still get them myself, so you're not alone on that one! You play enough and the feeling kind of normalizes (you'll still have it, but you might be surprised by how well you can throw despite that).
Jimmy legend mate and thank for normalising some of the thoughts and feelings I have as I play. I try to show them and humanise the vlog! Mad how the game goes, I kinda believe and hope, if he had pushed me leg 2 I click in and check out! Hope you enjoyed the video mate, thanks for your support! Good luck with qualifying soon!
Another good video Matt! How do you find the scoring compared to online darts? I noticed the scorer doesn't say what they're putting in after each throw. I think that would take a little while to get used to?

Good to see you still going to competitions, all good experience. Keep it up mate. I just had a decent night winning in the final 3-1 at a local comp.
Niiiice mate, getting it done! When is your next dev comp? 🤙
@@Darts_Matt It's quite a while as I can't go to the one in Germany. But playing ADC events in the meantime
Ah gotcha, keep up the grind mate 🤙 I'll be watching out for you
Good effort Matt. 🎯🎯🎯
Thanks mate 🤙 couldn't do this without support from chaps like you
Well done mate! Great video, thank you!

Yeah, it's ok tbh. You just trust and when you walk up sometimes you confirm with them. It's nice to have someone there doing it aswell lol
That battle for the ages comment 🤣🤣🤣
Class ain't it 😂 I try to make these vlogs real and honest 😂🤙
It was 128 you had and went for 20 bud leaving 108 can’t do that in 2. And my first 3 in the last leg was a 125 stealing 2 points off me lol 😂
Haha! Shame on the camera and my memory! 😅 Kind of proves the point also! Cheers
