Yes. This is interesting. More videos about this. You've convinced me that my side project needs a TUI. You know, for people who don't fee like opening a browser. I suspect this will increase conversion among Hacker News users.
Thanks. It was very easy to add Wish to my bubble tea space invaders app and have the game hosted over ssh. The game is still single-player, but now players have a shared high-score table.
Hey, it's more similar to how a web app might run on a certain port than to an OpenSSH connection. Here's how we explain it in the wish docs: github.com/charmbracelet/wish?tab=readme-ov-file#what-are-ssh-apps The scope of what's accessible through that port is similar to a web app, only the functionality included in your app is available to those connecting to it through Wish. Similar to how you can't access other parts of a server when you connect to a web app. If any of that is unclear, it would be really helpful to know through an issue on the Wish repo :)
Im a little confused .Can wish be served over an existing ssh config and do you need to edit settings for a OS , like /etc/ssh/sshd.conf to proxy to a wish server or do wish programs have to be setup on a custom ssh service or port ?
could you make a multiplayer game as a project? something like the cardgame uno or even doom or something like that. i am new to programming and like the charm products a lot. thank you guy’s.
The video with cool SSH apps or use cases is a great idea
Absolutely would love this too.
Would love to see a video highlighting cool projects served over SSH!

Desperately need a video that showcases some cool SSH apps!
it would be wonderful having some videos developing ssh applications 😊
A video going over setup of an SSH app would be wonderful!
Hi! big fan from brazil here.
Thank you for this amazing content!

Gopher & MUDs back in fashion?
Is there any security issues with servering an app over ssh? possiblity for a reverse shell and admin access?
did you find the answer? i would like to implement a ssh app but only if its 100% safe
@petergg9096 Unfortunately not
