We make the command line glamorous
By the way, we love open source.
The Charm ecosystem is built on open source technologies and we maintain a commitment to open sourcing our own work in turn. We do this partially because we believe it’s the right thing to do, but mostly because open source is cool.

Wow, we love open source projects 🤍
Desperately need a video that showcases some cool SSH apps!
Yes, this girl need to see AUR in Manjaro
i wish you was a boy
Facts girl, I love Linux!!
font name ?
This is my first intro project using golang and im loving it
Freeze is available on Ubuntu?
I like the portability offered by Charm. Gum lets me read my code with some colour formatting, and I can use it on any device with a CLI. I'm here for ANSI colours. Those have always been impressive. Still working on my TUI standard look and feel. This is where I am at currently: type TTDefines.h | gum pager --background #00FF00 --line-number.foreground #0000DD --italic --border thick --border-background #00FF00 --border-foreground #0000DD
Hi! Would it be possible to display the form of adding a new task "over" the Kanban table? Just on top of it, not like quitting to a new terminal. It would be great to look that :-)
please public this tutorial code
Good like 🎉
its all fun and games until you can't find a package
Which program AKA application can you not find a package for involving getting that program up and running
4:01 I've heard this sentiment echoed a lot when pair programming comes up. Seems like our obsession with timeliness overrides our need for quality.
These ssh servers are awesome, didn't know such servers existed
Pacman!
yes mommy i will install it
I love a girl that writes in Golang 🥰
I love bubbletea long time user. A key component of my CLI first startup! 🙌😇
Winget is pretty good too
u r so cute
My hairline is better than her. Good video tho
Winget is excellent too
Winget is gor windows... this video was about linux. Learn coherence
Hello, I have forked a version of Nap that focuses on markdown snippets (kugarocks/markdown-finder). It's a tool for quickly locating code snippets in Markdown files. Use --- to divide sections of a Markdown file, making it easy to copy code from each section's code block. Charm CLI is really cooooooool. I love so much!
That's AWESOME 🎉
I see you 😂
You are beautiful

Does this work with powershell?
Please let us know if anyone made it work for PS.
I am not shure about Charm VHS specifically, but with other TUI stuff it is not about your shell (PS or standard shell), rather than about your _terminal emulator_. The new windows terminal from the windows store (the one with transparency and tabs) is reported to work much smoother with projects such as this than the default one.
Im i Linux Mint user i dont know a Weeks what is a terminal.
I can't tell if you're legit accidentally ignorant and need to know or if you're too lazy to do an internet search for something.... try looking it up online. It's not like you won't find the correct answer very quickly and easily
what if you want to include specific line ranges within the file and not the whole file?
There’s a flag to set a range of lines you want to include in the image :)
This gave me a great IDEA. Thx
You have made React for the terminal. I have strong confused feeling about that...
Thank you for the great Log module. I'm trying to implement the logger into my bubbletea application, I want to show the logging and in the same time include help etc in the view. I managed to do a very hacky solution in which I use the logger in my model, I write to it and then take the string and add it to a bytes.Buffer in my model. I use this bytes.Buffer in my model View to display the log string. Naturally I lose the nice colors of the log line. I think there should be an easier way to implement it. Am i missing something?
Great tutorial! Thanks!!
Every so often a Charm repo gets recommended by GitHub's explore tab to me and I am always astounded by how these repos are banger after banger. Incredible work!
4:33 still commited with no type and scope: "add README" instead of "docs(examples): add README".
These tutorial videos are awesome, thank you very much for providing them
Honestly, I don't know where to look.. My mind is running wild with crazy ideas 🤯
Just do them all EZ Gum is a great place to start in our opinion! It's a great addition to shell scripts
cool library but ive spent the last hour looking at tutorials that have more of your face in it than the actual TUI...
Hey, the UA-cam channel is a great jumping off point, but it's definitely worth looking at the repo on GitHub as there are plenty of examples over there along with documentation on pkg.go.dev Hope that helps!
Im curious about how they make money with these fun, cute, but free programs🤔
Seems like they might do consulting/contract work.
Hey, we're just a group of people who love open source and terminals. All of our libraries are also being used to build some paid products behind the scenes that we're looking forward to sharing with the community. We're fortunate to have investors who believe in our long term vision for the command line and have supported us in building a foundation of free, open source software that will allow us to build some pretty kick ass solutions in the dev space.
@@charmcli It's so amazing, what a beautiful open source case! so happy to hear that!
You have nice cuspids.
#dope
YES please do ssh app nice!
Just stumbled upon the Charm CLI tools today, super cool! I love the look and the feels of it all
Welcome in! If you're trying to figure out where to start, Gum is a great project to take a look at
@@charmcli Awesome, thanks!
Are you also using an enlarged Simp1e-Mix-Light cursor? Me too haha 😄
This one is the Breeze cursor from Manjaro :)
Asciinema support for VHS would be amazing. Asciinema is a terminal recording application. This would allow somebody to quickly record instructions without having to write a tape file and then render it with VHS.
Hey, that sounds like a cool idea. I haven't used asciicinema personally, so not sure what that would look like. By all means please feel free to start a discussion on GitHub to see what others think of this + include details on what that might look like :) - bashbunni github.com/charmbracelet/vhs/discussions
I hope that in the future thanks to charm we can return back to the roots and abandon GUIs for TUIs ❤
Terminals are love, Terminals are life 💖
I use gum in my bash script I've made called xbpsman. I've got more features I'm working on for the script.
