S78 is better regarding my experience it has more bass than the s87 the s78 is a 100w and the s87 80w but the s78 has distortion issue at max volume with bass EQ but playing at 80%volm is fine or 100% on normal EQ both are fine so s78 is much better to me
I have this speaker the S78 I can go 2 8hour works days with volume at 60 percent before needing a charge, I work in a noisy environment and 60-70 is enough with the normal EQ
