Listen people...never charge a lithium ion battery like this...these batteries require a proper regulated voltage with feedback charging to get charged properly...if you are curious and still want to do such kind of experiment then conect two diodes of 2A(min) rating in series with the 5v power supply to drop the voltage upto the safe limit...otherwise you will see a bad day

Two days ago, I made a silly mistake by connecting a 12V charger to a new 18650 Li-ion battery. It exploded and I luckily was a bit far, so I escaped. I share this experience with everyone on You Tube. Never blindly connect Lithium batteries to phone chargers. As shown, connect a diode or use a proper charger . The lithium metal inside a 18650 is highly toxic and can catch fire if put into water.
When ever you charge any battery any volt of charger there should be different maximum 1 volt or 1.5 volt this thumb rule battery charging any battery

I have seen another vedio related to connect diode across the battery terminals. I think that is more logical. "" Use IN4007 diode 6 numbers in series and connect like this, and use the battery pack . This is a time being mechanism instead of b.m.s. diode voltage drop is .7 to.8 in low voltage. So .7×6= 4.2. this may be more logical. Every one recommends b.m.s only.

Kindly don't use this method. Lithium ion batteries require constant current and constant voltage for charging. This method may explode you battery and may catch fire. So be safe and use proper charging circuit.

People commot mistakes and some UA-camrs too play jokes with 3.7v lithium ion battery which has a max allowed voltage limit of 4.2v. Very risky business with ignorance. Already in market bms or charger with current limit with charge level and Full indicator at Rs.25/- why take risk
