When there's less of the car visible for context, I feel like I have to add a little more to make it relatable and easy to visualise. Thanks for the feedback 😁 I want to do a proper horn button tutorial once I get some proper epoxy :)
@@32Builds oh shoot you made the horn button yourself? I thought it was just a clear horn button cap with a 32 builds sticker behind it or something as simple as that, nice
Finally! I've been checking your channel daily for the longest just in case I missed the notification lol. I enjoy your videos and it's been giving me motivation to finish my datto. Great work and good luck with the rest of the build. All the way from South Africa.
Another fellow South African who just binged whole night watching these videos and BRAA!! this guys videos is amazing and motivated to me to start my restoration on my daily Nissan/Sunny 1400 bakkie 😁😁😁
hello 32! :P At last, one more video! :) videos are evolving to a higher level with 3d animations, very professional, good job, and thanks for the public service where we always learn something. thanks
Missed the last 3 videos, but this is as relaxing as ever. It's been over a year since I subbed and the quality just keeps getting better. Props to you man!
@@32Builds Not at all dude. I never had time to restore but if I did I'd do it the way you are going about it. Thats why watching your process is so great. I'm on the lookout for one that'll be a keeper and when I find it, Im re watching them all for tips. Massive respect !
Looking forward to the next episode, I'm going to attempt my restoration after watching the series this far and wow man amazing, thanks for the motivation. I'm finally going to tackle my Nissan 1400 pickup restoration process 👍
Mate you're always so resourceful with rebuild, with limited space and tools, inspirational. The 1200 is going to be a 20K banger very soon and you'll need a new project for the channel haha! Meanwhile I can't get my Datto to idle properly lol. Always an instant click when I get that notification!
Thank you so much!! It's only a matter of time until you get it right, or you jump the gun for a carby tune haha - I've definitely got more future cars in mind for a project! If you check my insta I've got a photo of my old daily driver that I wanna keep for ever
Nice work! I do see a problem, putting a smaller steering wheel on a car with bigger tyres that doesn't have power steering might be a small issue. I switched from the 12x4 to 14x6, 155 to 165, and I feel the difference on the stock steering...
Damn! I guess that's part of the learning process tho, thanks for the heads up! I've driven some pretty heavy no-power-steering cars tho - usually doesn't matter too bad when you're not tryna park. Cheers mate!
Reversing in a parking is the worst for me. You'll never feel it at speed. At least you won't be hitting the horn while looking back to reverse like I kept doing for the first few months of ownership.
I loved your video friend. I am doing a degree project on this, and if it is not a problem I would be interested in knowing more about the computer-assisted drawing that you use for the explanation, do you think it is possible to do it? Greetings from Ecuador.
Great video, just curious how everything went back together in the steering box? i have done the same as you about a year ago and was told that you shouldn't separate the the steering box and column
Hey mate. This is a great series of videos. I’m about to start restoring a 120Y with zero experience so these clips are really useful to get an idea of what’s involved along the way. The biggest thing I worry about is forgetting how things go back together or the sequence that they need to go back together. How do you remember that stuff? Peace
the part you printed is the fully plastic not just the shell? Reason is the printing that I have seen has a honeycomb inner and then a coating on either side.
5:12 *just a passing thought mate, i noticed you have cad skills and a 3d printer which lead me to ponder the idea of creating a mold for that rubber plate that attache's to the firewall. you could then do sillicon casts and possibly even sell them as spares ? who knows man, you could potentially make million$$$ lol ;)
Thank you for the video, done very well, can you please share your CAD drawing, I need to build a steering column bracket and do not have the original one, I have access to machine shop folks, So if I have the CAD files, they can build it for me. Many thanks.
Hey mate long shot but I am literally doing the steering column in my 1200 Ute and I can’t find a bushing anywhere! And chance you could print me one? Located ACT
Hi mate, chuck us a message on instagram. Maybe we can work out something after lockdown XD Only problem is, I printed so many and didn't end up getting the right dimensions even by the end. It was a fun side project tho. Had to sand it to fit :/ Have you considered shaping a piece of nylon from bunnings? Or using a poly bush? as per the 1200 wiki?
@@32Builds right on. What would you recommend then. I mainly just needed to know the size. Here in America it's hell trying to find stuff for the sunny
Hey mate! I'm using a saas steering wheel. It's super sturdy and ADR approved. It'll tie me over really well until I can afford to get myself a genuine Nardi or Momo. I might have to go no dish since the cabin is already so small
List for Boss Kit.. hehe thanks
He’s back! You best believe I’ve got them notifications on lock. 🔔
Aye thanks so much! You'll need those notifications with me posting xD

Great video as always. I'm about to do the same. I got a boss kit along with a momo steering wheel. But i will need a new nylon bushing as well.
Awesome! Thanks so much :)

I need a new steering wheel for mine. What size hub is that?
It was 350mm but I wouldn't recommend a deep dish wheel. I think its going to be too close!
