It's great to see my senior from DCE/DTU on your channel.
Consulting placement of ABCL, XL is much better than FMS. Even IIM K has better consulting placement than FMS. MBB firms not at all visit FMS. BCG came last year and recruited 1 student from FMS. McKinsey did the pool campussing and recruited 0 people from FMS.
FMS only matches marketing placement to ABC.
well yeah, i think fms makes sense for folks with not so good profile, (someone like me ig)

@@RohitJadhav-gh8lz I agree, and I'm not denying FMS is not a great college. In totality, I would rank it at par with IIM L and XLRI (atleast for someone who has got an average profile). For someone, who has got a very good profile, for them IIM L and XLRI are better than FMS for sure.
But, I had the problem with the guest in this podcoast, who painted wrong picture of the companies hiring from FMS. That was completely untrue atleast in Consulting and IT placements. Consulting sucks at FMS. Even MBB firms recruit around 18-20 people from IIM Indore every year but recruit 3-4 people at FMS. So, even IIM I consulting is better than FMS.

Greta video, I am aiming for FMS too. Although, I have 1 year and 8 months of experience, but I want to start freelancing now while also preparing for CAT. Will that affect my selection process? I have heard that a gap can affect my selection.

I am preparing for CAT and looking forward to make it up to IIM ABC, my question is do we have elevator facilities in IIM AHMEDABAD? I Know it's not a usual query, actually I have arthritis and restricted from climbing stairs. Waiting for your reply

Hey Khushbu, you'd be surprised to know that IIM Ahmedabad has a club for equal opportunities. It specifically focuses on how we can make the campus more inclusive. There are elevators everywhere except hostels. And if you have a condition like that, they give you the ground floor to ensure there's no problem. There is no part of the campus that's inaccessible to any person - they have also built a ramp next to stairs wherever needed. Hope that helps :)

Question: What is the most appropriate time to start preparing for CAT exam ? 6 months or 12 or 2 years before?
Ideally, 11-12 months before - but it depends on your level of comfort with the syllabus, basics require 6 months to be covered if one starts from scratch.

Ma'am what is the minimum required percentage in 10th, 12th and Graduation for a student to get into FMS or IIMs.
Ma'am please do reply, actually this is a very important part which I feel many aspirant take into consideration while preparing for CAT, as a doubt comes inside the mind as whether during filteration in Personal Interviews will they reject the applicants with marks, So please clear this doubt ma'am.

if you want iim a,b,c or fms/xlri then more than 99.6 percentile for even having a hope. if you are happy with just the iim tag then around 97 you can get a call. its the most difficult thing to get into college as a general male, i sympathize with you. hope you the best for the future!!!
