Vlad is a living example of why you need to treat everyone who's on their way up with respect while you're at your peak, because nobody would've thought he'd be where he is today. The roles in some cases have reversed. He's likely doing better than many of the rappers who he was trying to get love from on the way up. I'm sure he remembers those who didn't show him love and right now they could use a platform like VladTV whereas Vlad doesn't need them.

I don’t see why people hate on Vlad? He made his lane before everyone is doing what they’re doing now on UA-cam. Yeah hes white but how can someone say he’s a culture vulture when he shares the same love for hip hop as all of us. A culture vulture, to me is someone that take from the culture and don’t give back. Vlad has revived or helped more careers in hip hop than your favorite rapper has or does. Most rappers are doing more to hurt the hip hop than help it
90% of the people that say that are either bots or they are like 15 years old, don’t know anything about hip hop are from the suburbs and are r3tarded.
Vlad was a legend before UA-cam even existed. He made the 2pac phenomenon blend tapes in the early 2000s. Those were the hottest mixtapes in the streets and the hood back then an are arguably the greatest mixtapes of all time and he was putting out the hardest hip hop street DVDs in that era in the trenches in Compton where a lot of dudes just can’t go but he had a pass.
Folks that call vlad a culture vulture simply don’t know shit about hip hop and are themselves not from this culture cause if they were they would have already known of vlads legendary status he gained in the late 90s early 2000s.
The easiest way to expose yourself as a fraud to a real OG hip hop head is by calling vlad a “culture vulture” that whiteboy has been the truth coast to coast for decades now. DJ Vlad ain’t just a moniker, he’s a real legendary DJ all his old school tapes are classics. Why do you think all these old school legends interview with him an kick it with him? He been rolling with them an respected by them for 25 years.
He doesn’t share the same love. Listen to the interview. He said in high school he gave up on hip hop because his friends didn’t like it and ended up getting back into it later on. That’s not a real hip hop head regardless of how young he was at the time. More importantly than that this vulture NEVER talks about the music, only the other shit, which is complete culture vulture behavior, like textbook. It reminds me of those white guys, some of whom were from like England and shit, who made all the video essays about the chiraq shit. 🙄

Yo much respect for mentioning Q of WORLDSTAR, I honestly wish someone would do a short documentary on Q and Canibus regarding their early efforts with mp3, streaming etc, Canibus was really early with the DOT-COM MP3 TRAFFIC model, and Q and WORLD STAR came within months of UA-cam. It's important that people understand how forward thinking they were. Because we got dudes like DAME DASH trying to convince us that he is educating people to DIRECT TO CONSUMER streaming. When he is truly LATE TO THE PARTY. Where was (MR FORWARD THINKING MOGUL DAME DASH) When WORLDSTAR, VLAD TV, THIS IS 50 were all basically using a similar streaming model as Netflix wayyy back then.
