I do really feel that NewJeans will start the 5th generation of the k-pop industry with this beautiful R&B music style. It is unique, sound is amazing and everything ADOR does with promotions and stuff - 10/10. They have talented people, and I can't wait what they will show us on 2nd of January 2023. Also - the MV is brilliant, can't say anything else about it, I lost my words after watching that.

Here's my theory: This Heesoo is Newjeans' friend who survived a car accident; that's why her arm was broken; she felt too much guilt over her friend's death, so she was depressed and a little crazy. When she saw the deer, it was a sign that her friends in the afterlife wanted Heesoo to be cheerful again and forget about her guilt; that's when she decided to break her camera. At the beginning of side A and the end of side B video, Heesoo is seen wearing white clothes, indicating that she is an adult version of Heesoo, whose hand has healed, and wants to see her old video with Newjeans when she was in school.

Same, I also think like that. But I think they argue about something that make her go alone and leave her friend with umbrella. And something happen suddenly while she not with her friends. Maybe she also hurt because of accident or she fall while rushing to see her friends. Because all the clips is happy one. She make same clips without her friends and all her classmate think that she crazy. While she can't see anyone because her mind fill with her dead friend, she can see one guy who always look at her with different face then others. Means little by little, she wake up from her illusion and realize that her friends dead. At mv A, you can see why she not use the umbrella to cover her head from the rain. Because when she leave her friends with umbrella, she lost her friends. It just my theory.
I completely agree with this theory. I admire the way they tell the story, it's bittersweet and beaitiful. But i want to know if you guys think its appropriate. Cause its too sad for me and has put me in a bad mood. This kind of video is really really bad for someone in grief or suffering from depression. Its like the song "Seasons in the sun" that made people commit suicide...
Heesoo represents bunnies and the relationship between fans and idols. How idols help get fans through tough times and such without actually being next to them.
@@langSuya17 I think the scene of her leaving with an umbrella and the girls being left behind is her first step of "walking away from their apparitions(idk her vision of them)". The start of her letting go. Coz the first part, she walks with them in the rain(which in reality, she was alone basking? on the rain).

Watching this MV a couple of times and reading that the actress represents us bunnies, my running theory is that this MV represents our relationships with NJs in an abstract artistic sense. Like how us fans are watching New Jeans, supporting them and growing and spending time with them, they are here as well with us in our best and worst times, providing us with entertainment, healing and company. Sometimes things might change and we might have different priorities (represented by the girl going with the guy), and we may put New Jeans aside for a while, but they will always be here for us and supporting us, and whenever we return we can expect that they will be here waiting for us with open arms.

my first theory was that it was about a girl who was feeling like she was just being used by her friends/she was left out of her friend circle and is just a camera to them. also that one of the new jeans girls has a crush on the boy in the mv but the girl had personal problems with him but the new jeans girl still ignored her feelings and crushed on him, idk why it was so sad lol
+ the mv is about a girl who was in a tragic car crash with her friends but she was the only one survived which gave her mental scars which cause her to fantasize (or hallucinate) seeing her friends also she just looks at their old tapes for nostalgia or something idk???
+ kinda the opposite of the last one its about a girl who was in a car crash with her friends and they all survived except for her and shes like a ghost or not exactly a ghost she just lingers on school grounds and watches them. the reason shes still on earth is because she feels enraged that her friends smile without her orrrr that she cant get over them or something i cant make up a good happy ending help

“I have a theory, the camera girl went in a deep depression till the point she’s still in denial and kept lying to herself, which led to her to completely lose her sense of reality cuz she lost her friends (New Jeans) in an accident, that’s why she has the arm cast. Everybody is kinda concerned about her, but they don’t want to take proper action cuz, as I know, Koreans don’t like to interfere in other people’s problems and the only person who really wants to reach out to her is the guy, that maybe has liked her even before the accident so that’s why he keeps looking for her in a way from afar. And the new video tapes she first saw in the Side A MV kept showing her the reality she’s in, so that’s why she threw the camera in the Side B MV where everything started to make sense. AND the last video she saw was the original one where her friends (New Jeans) DID appear and is stored in a box cuz it’s a part of her treasured memories and now she can see it with nostalgia cuz she came to accept her loss and is capable to move on, that’s why she is seen walking with the guy at the end as he maybe helped her getting through all of the grief and denial. The deer can represent two things a non-confrontational personality (side A) that happens to be her looking at herself in the white scenario or could be an observational, empathetic, and sympathetic side of someone who could represent the guy (Side B) that's why it appeared in the school where he is always watching her with concern.

So, if you relate it to the mv it looks like Heeseo is keep on watching the videotape repeatedly and maybe she repeat it again and again cause maybe all of the videos in the tape was their memories with her friends. And on Set A where her classmates laugh at her cause she's keep on smiling while watching the video and think that Heeseo is crazy. This is what I understand to the video and base of the meaning of Ditto

i disagree. the plot twist is spoiled if you watch B first. watching side A first also makes side B sadder because of that realisation.

If you watch B first the ending is girl watching the VHS and reminiscing new jeans memories then credits appeared while vhs is still playing and you can hear the girls talking. More like the ending of side B is the beginning of side A. Then continue to side A, which the girl is still watching vhs of nj girls, is like continuation of what she is watching in side b ending. Then ending of side A is you don’t know if new jeans is imaginary or the girl is imagining them because she put the nail polish in minji’s pinky but when she woke up it’s on her pinky. She’s videoing no one. OR the girl is dead because during the drinking fountain scene, in the viewpoint of the guy no one is drinking at the drinking fountain aside from him. Also, minji drew her but then erased half of the drawing. Then the video ended and credits appeared.
Imagine of you watch it from a to b you will still feel mv is not yet done because nj girls are still talking. And mv will confuse you because of the emotion feeling it is not yet finished.

Compared in side A where they show that girl is not filming anyone, in the fountain when the guy is drinking the girl is not there he is not seeing the girl, and Minji drew the girl and erased half of her. would make you realize one of them is imagining something. Either nj are imaginary or died or girl is dead.
