@@BloggingTheology Hi You are certainly very intelligent. I like your videos and you are quite clever. Anyway, i have something to add. I am NOT a born again Christian. But here is my view of the bible. The Bible does indeed contain some excellent teachings but it is certainly NOT a perfect book. If the Bible is the perfect word of God then it should NOT contain any mistakes at all - even mistakes by men! The very fact that the Bible contains inconsistencies means that is is NOT perfect. The basic teachings of the texts are actually very good. But the execution of those texts is flawed. Here is one such example that Malcom X gave in the 1960's where he pointed out certain errors in the Bible. Malcom X pointed out in the 1960's that in Acts chapter 1 it states that Judas Iscariot died because he fell down on the ground and subsequently burst his intestinal organs open. But in Matthew chapter 27 it states that Judas hanged himself. Thats one of many mistakes in the Bible that Malcom X pointed out in the 1960's. Evangelical Christians will spin "tailor made" explanations to account for inconsistencies in the Bible AFTER THE FACT. The fact is that the inconsistencies are still in the Bible and still require extreme Verbal gymnastics to explain them. Some Christians explain Bible inconsistencies by comparing them to differences in modern day crime scene testimonials. This is stupid as the Bible deals with the most important things in history - such as the establishment of Gods hebrew laws and the latter Resurrection of Christ - so it should be COMPLETELY 100% ACCURATE. Crime scene testimonials have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on global world humanity so this particular analogy used by evangelical Christians is flawed. Verbal gymnastics aka "apologetics" is exactly the methodology employed by evangelical Christians to explain their Bible. Muslims employ the same type of Verbal gymnastics to defend stuff in their koran - so dont worry - its not just Christian folk. In fact, Muslims are probably worse than Christians for this type of behaviour. All so called "holy" religions have their own scholarly gymnasts to defend their so called "holy" books. Research the Jewish talmud and you will see the disgusting things the Jews say about Jesus and Mary and gentiles in general. But guess what, they also use their own clever brand of Verbal gymnastics to defend their so called "holy" books just like the Muslims and Christians do. In fact, the Jews are probably even better at Verbal gymnastics than the Muslims and Christians, seeing as Jews are the real source of the so called "Abrahamic" religions. Just like the so called "Abrahamic" religions, all the other world religions will contain elements of truth mixed with fiction - this just comes with the whole territory. People should just accept it and use with the "good stuff" in all these various religions in the world - and leave all the other things in these various religions that dont fit alone. In fact, this applies to the Muslims and the Jews - aswell as Christians and indeed every other religion on the planet. People should just Face it, all these religions are as bad as each other. Religious folk should learn to Improve their social tactics and they will go alot further with the young generation today.
@@paghal11 Muslims worship Dogs - but yet the great prophet Muhammad ordered Dogs to be killed as they were considered a health hazard and also their saliva is HARAM. Orthodox Sunni Muslims do NOT worship Allah. They worship Dogs which is why most Muslims households contain Dogs. Yet they say that the prophet Muhammad was perfect. So why do they not follow his example and abstain from worshipping Dogs. Egypt has a massive stray Dog problem and most Muslim countries allow stray dogs to roam freely. This is because Muslims actually worship dogs. Prophet Muhammad was a good man. But Sunni Orthodox Muslims are disgusting, filthy Dog worshippers. The prophet Muhammad even had to order his new Muslim converts to wash their plates in dirt because it is known that the ancestors of ALL Muslims always ate of the same plate as Dogs. Modern Muslims even look like Dogs. But the prophet Muhammad had a beautiful appearance and he was a good man. He was NOT like the modern Muslims today. He did NOT worship dogs. Throughout history there have been many recorded cases of 'resurrection' of living creation including humans. The problem is what is the medical ďefinition of 'death' and how is death certified conclusively.
Excellent video. I never thought about these points before until now. The resurrection in each gospel, don’t match up with one another in regards to accuracy either. Looking at the modern New Testament in light of historian/scholarly explanation it becomes overtly clear that it is not a reliable source of information whatsoever.

Several years ago, there was a gathering of American Jewish scholars on PBS/NPR, which in itself, is a respected institution for its featured programs and one of the scholars, who happened to be a female, stated that a group of them was searching in Israel for ancient Jewish graves and they came across one in a cave which had a tombstone that read: "good luck on the day of resurrection". She said that they were astonished because "it was not a Jewish tradition", I assume, that they were Reformer Jews who believe that once one is dead, it is dead. Of course, Allah, Azza wa Jall, knows best.
Regarding your observation at 7:00 about how the disciples couldn't believe he was going to rise avter death even after Jesus showed them all His miracles. You gotta remember the Disciples constantly had that problem, no matter WHAT miracles Jesus performed. Even before He was crucified, they still kept falling asleep when Jesus went to pray before His death even though He told them to remain awake. If they believed all of what He said, then they wouldn't have panicked when He was captured. They wouldn't have denied His name when people confronted them about following Him, many other things. Throughout every gospel the Disciples struggled with faith the entire time, even when great miracles were performed RIGHT in front of them.

Rabbi Tovia Singer has some excellent videos on the subject. He points out that it would not make sense for the women or anyone else to be visiting the tomb several days after burial to anoint the body. Bodies were anointed prior to burial, never afterwards. In fact, John's Gospel records Martha and Mary's objection to rolling away the stone from their brother Lazarus' tomb by having them say "it has been three days, surely by now there will be a stink." So why would the women be visiting the tomb? After all, the Gospels are quite clear that nobody expected Jesus to rise from the dead.
Mark 16:1-8 still mentions a resurrection, although the details in 9-20 is added later. verses 9-20 do not introduce the idea of the resurrection. The original first 8 verses mention it already.

I am surprised that you don’t see much of this as undermining Islamic faith? Islam is based on the idea that the same basic faith was communicated by all the prophets but there is no evidence that the ancient Hebrews believed in an afterlife and resurrection. That’s a problem for Islam.
You seem to be unaware that you are constructing an implicit argument _contra_ Islam. (1) The OT does not contain belief in an afterlife and resurrection, yet you have to hold that the prophets taught something akin to Islam. (2) Jesus' teaching doesn't focus on resurrection, yet as a prophet like Muhammad he should have done so.

@@johnbrzykcy3076 Dear John, according to the "gospels", Jesus was very clear on many occasions about his death and resurrections. He spoke of that many times to the disciples. To say that the disciples did not understand is running away from the truth. That is why the writers of the gospels portrayed them as "stupid" to justify their not believing that he was "raised". Jesus appeared to his disciples in secret because he was still afraid of the Jews and that is why he wanted them to meet him in Galilee not in Jerusalem. Furthermore, the writers of the "gospels" never claimed that what they wrote was inspired by the Holy Ghost or God, yet all Christians claim that. Just read the first paragraph of Luke to realize that he is just writing a letter to someone he knew because he decided to write an account of what he heard like others who did before him. May Allah guide us all to know and worship him. By the way, the name of God in Jesus time was Allaha. Check it out.
How can you emphasise the fact that the disciples did not expect him to. Rise from the dead yet not emphasise the fact that the changed after seeing him resurrected and went on to give their lives teaching about him. Are you being honest.
Many sects disagreed 1) Jesus was God 2) Jesus resurrected after death. You see some did have the view he was resurrected. When he appeared they thought he was a spirit and not a man. Jesus with wisdom asked for bread and fish and ate with them as spirits do not eat. His sects followed his teachings and confirmed he did not die and he ascended. Other sects led by Paul rejected this. All of this before Islam came and sided with those sects
I was always bewildered how there is almost no mention of heaven and hell or ressurection in the old testament. It seems very weird to me how they didn't even recognize him when he was resurected and was speaking to them
There is heaven and resurrection in the Old Testament. Heaven already in the first verse of the Bible, and in other places in the OT (e.g. see Job): In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Resurrection in the Old Testament. There are few examples: 2 Kings 13: 20-21 20 Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. 21 Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet. Also, in 1 Kings 17: 17-24, prophet Elijah prayed to God and God resurrected a dead boy. And in 2 Kings 4: 18-37, prophet Elisha prayed to God and God resurrected another boy that had died.
@@tombuddy100 the final state as per Revelation 21 and 22 is that heaven - the dwelling place of God - and earth the dwelling place of men becomes one and the same. 1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! Islam. All Muslims believe in all the prophets(peace be upon them all) that were sent by Allah S.W.T to guide humankind, and that we do not draw distinction between any of them as they all had the same One Message.
all cultures which have literacy have a formal set of beliefs. But at popular level, what I call 'folk religion' survives. It accepts ghosts, eveil and good, lucky charms. curses, magic and so on. So when I read Jews didn't believe in a life after death or just Sheol, I think many of them did but didn't have much discussion with the Temple and the priests. Today even Christians who will tell us we have to believe to be 'saved', when talking about bereavement in their lives assume the 'good' go to a good place and can send message, while the 'bad' are in an uncomfortable place.
Even before Islam sects disagreed with the death of Jesus. They rejected Jesus was God. They were there before Islam emerged. These are the sects the Quran has confirmed and they are the ones who accepted Islam in the Holy Land and they will be the uppermost from that moment until the last day.
in another of his books Vermes talks about the existence of a folk religion. Every culture has always had a belief in ghosts or spirits. We can see it in our own society. Even some people who are committed Christians talk about post death states which contradict official theology. In the Gospels Jesus is recorded as saying he is not a ghost and eats a fish. Doctrinally some Christians will tell us only Christians are 'saved' and that sins can be forgiven. Yet continue to believe that the good (of any opinion) go to a better place and the 'bad' go to a nasty place (which may not be permanent). I have never seen the sense of a physical resurrection and the post crucifixion stories of appearing in a room though the doors were locked or on the road to Emmaus, breaking bread then disappearing, seem closer to Spiritualist ideas of 'materialisations'. My conclusion is that the account was written to fit in with Jewish theology but the reality was that the Disciples encountered Jesus'spirit.
These people complaining about how Paul is somehow "failing" fail to realize it isn't Paul making these claims, rather it is the work of reputable biblical scholars that Paul nearly brings forth. Vermes stated the bible is written to reflect the views of the authors, so of course it will make claims that christians will cling to and spout. What christians fail to understand is the holistic study of the bible and the church that is causing the veracity of the bible is brought to question, not biased cherrypicked verses - cherry picked not only by evangelicals but also church fathers. Just because the bible says so doesn't automatically make the bible a historically reliable source.

@@lets_wrapitup Salam to you too. These verses are talking about Jesus peace be upon him and the earliest judeo-christians who believed he was a prophet and not God incarnate. Some of the these offshoot sects include the ebionites and nasoreans, who perceived of Jesus to be a man, and they followed the judaic laws. The bible as it exists today is not the "gospel of Jesus" - he himself and his followers were Aramaic and didn't speak Greek, the followers being illterate fishermen from Galilee. The bible you have today is the work of unknown Greek, literate authors who had a Hellenistic view of Jesus. The history of the bible when studied shows these books aren't an accurate representation of what Jesus actually taught. It is also the reason why Muhammad was sent by GOD/ALLAH, because the true teachings of Jesus were lost, and an evovled yet restorative global covenant (very similar to the judaic one) was to be established.
Talking about Ahmadiyya cult. I just saw a debate between Mr. William and Nabeel Qureshi where Nabeel says he was a muslim. I never saw a rebuttal from Mr. William saying that Nabeel has Ahmadiyyah background and not a muslim. Anyways, these arguments regarding resurrection reminds me of debates of Sheikh Ahmad Deedat.
Paul, the theory that Jesus went East is one that requires more scholarly attention, imho. This video that I'm linking below is one of the best expositions of this theory. It connects Jesus' missing 13 years with the probability of him having gone towards Central Asia and South Asia after his crucifixion. I found it absolutely fascinating. ua-cam.com/video/TEvomvO8cb0/v-deo.html Edit: I do remember my uncle telling me once that if someone is presumed dead and is seen walking around three days later by several people, he probably didn't die. From a purely rational perspective... yeah, made sense to me!
Death came from Adam's fall by believing satan's lies. Jesus came to restore what Adam has lost and his resurrection is prove of his victory over satan and death...
04:24 "Resurrection is not among the central tenets of the teachings of Jesus". This caught me out, not just because a scholar said it, but also that you - as a former Christian - actually quoted it. Had you forgotten Matt 22:23-33 (the Saducees question on resurrection)? Jesus mentions/predicts that he will rise again 23 times in the Gospels. It's mentioned 34 times in the NT. How many times would there need to be for it to become a "major teaching"? Vermes' theory that these predictions were added later hits a number of problems. 1. The Gospels thereby make the disciples look foolish, which would be an unlikely thing for the disciples to do. 2. All four Gospels proclaim these predictions. There is no discrepancy between them (which there is on other matters). 3. The truncated end to Mark (stopping at 16:8) makes no sense if Jesus' predictions about his death and resurrection are removed from the Gospel. Indeed, it is hard to make any sense of the Gospel at all if the implications of the empty tomb at the end of the Gospel are not pre-shadowed by Jesus' predictions earlier which make those implications crystal clear. 4. Removing all the references Jesus makes to His death and resurrection often mangles the surrounding context of the Gospel narrative. 5. Presupposing that the disciples would naturally have taken all of Jesus' teaching on board and therefore would have fully believed Jesus' predictions is putting 21st Century understanding of expectation and revelation into 1st century mindsets. Indeed, it appears to completely ignore the unsurprising shock and confusion (not to mention extreme grief) that people feel when someone they love dies, and in particular if they die a cruel and agonizing death in public. If Dr Vermes had lived in 1st Century Palestine and heard Jesus' prediction of His death and rising again, and indeed had he been present when Jesus raised people from the dead, he would still have fled the crucifixion as had the other disciples. The Romans were very good at making killing people and making sure people stayed dead. Jesus' resurrection would have seemed as remote and impossible at the crucifixion as a miraculous healing would do for skeptics today. Not to mention that the prospect of being lynched by the mob which had just condemned Jesus would have forced the good Dr. into hiding along with the rest of the disciples. Expecting the disciples to just bide their time in smug knowledge of what was about to happen is just ridiculous. Not to say glib. 6. The number of times the prediction is made makes later addition almost impossible. Had it been just once or twice then ok. You could claim that the addition was made to the narrative prior to it being written down, but then you hit the 5 problems above. Your comments on the road to Emmaus story are equally dumbfounding. The disciples travelling there clearly had no fixed theology on Jesus. They only knew what they had seen and heard. Only once Jesus' resurrection been revealed was His true nature clear enough for the disciples to understand who He really was. Since (as Muslims do like parroting) Jesus didn't mention a trinity, and only made allusions to His divinity, it would have been astounding if the disciples on the read to Emmaus would have had any inkling on any of this. Particularly as the Holy Spirit had not been sent on the discples as Pentecost had not happened by then. No Holy Spirit => no Trinity. Your argument makes no sense at all. I am at a loss why you follow this line of argument. You are interested in scholarship and proper investigation. But this just comes across as ignorant grandstanding. It is very much out of character with the rest of your posts, which by and large are well-presented and researched.
perhaps a better question is If the resurrection was fabricated, and the disciples did not see a resurrected Jesus, why spread the gospel? Why become missionaries and spread the word everywhere they could? Why did so many christians emerge in these early times without the apostles resorting to any violence or subjugation methods? Muhammad was barely able to convert people until he began conquering tribes and forcing them convert or be killed. And more importantly why be martyred for a lie? Paul saw Jesus in a vision, if you simply claim he’s lying then i don’t know why you wouldn’t also have the skepticism when it comes to Muhammad’s revelations, after all nobody else in the the time of Muhammad attested to these visitations anyways. If the concept of hell is more recent and was a result of Greek influences, this would also call into question Islam, which affirms hell’s existence and as a place of punishment for disbelievers. 19:20 you say they the apostles continued to preach a resurrected christ because he was resurrected “in their hearts”, this has absolutely no basis and does not explain the incredibly widespread belief of a physically resurrection Jesus among early christians, it’s actually quite a ridiculous explanation and it’s quite funnt you gave it as much thought. Imagine the apostles seeing everyone proclaim Jesus’ ACTUAL resurrection for their entire lives and never decide to actually correct these false beliefs and confirm they were only referring to a “resurrection in the heart” lmao. It is much more reasonable to conclude that the disciples truly did believe in the resurrection of Jesus, which would explain their lifetime of preaching and martyrdom, than it is to conclude the resurrection was fabricated simply because it is odd that some of the disciples, at first, were skeptical about the resurrection. And another puzzling question is why did the jews want Jesus crucified in the first place? lol If Jesus was in fact, never claiming to be God, and living a righteous life devout to the law of moses, why want him killed? makes absolutely no sense unless they were, in fact, accusing him of blasphemy for clearly claiming he was God.
Saul appeared on the stage after Jesus PBUH has risen by about 5 years. He first went to Arabia to make sure of something or someone! on his way back he claimed to be chosen by a figure surrounded by light. (he himself later said Lucifer is cladding himself in bright light...) Saul claimed he was given the uncircumcision Evangeline (nowhere to be found) He preached against the teachings of Jesus PBUH, laying waste to the commandments ! he even dared to call Jesus CURSED, His twelve disciples LIARS created a church in modern day Turkey that went against the Nazarene sect & the Church at Jerusalem!!! Even though he claimed targeting Gentiles, He started preaching to Israelites !!!! Saul Changed his name to "least" (Paul) thus fulfilling a prophesy in Matthew 5:19 "So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." It should be noted that Mark (a translator Aka John) is of his ministry, also Matthew & Luke !!!! thus all the NT "proclaimed writers" never actually witnessed Jesus PBUH nor seen his face!
So … the most rational story about the Christian Jesus is the one in the Qur’aan about 3Issa alayhi essalaam and interpreted by Asheikh Ahmed Deedat ra7imahou Allah…
Christians should follow God and His Messenger and his slave Jesus if they do not accept Islam. This guarantees them safety and will be in a far better position than the Jews
Interpreting the concerning verses in the Quran, Jesus' soul was temporarily taken by God when he was put on the cross but not in death as death is defined as the permanent departure of the soul. The soul was then restored back to his body in the cave and he was raised or made to ascend up to the heavens. There was no real cruxifiction (death on the cross) nor any resurrection. This conforms not only with the historical view but also with the authentic ending of Kata Markon ("According to Mark"), the earliest written of the accounts of Jesus in the Gospel tradition of the NT where there is no mention of ressurection or Jesus' apparitions, just that the body is missing.
I used to hold this opinion too, before I kept on reading the passage carefully and I notice the pronouns are in reference to the Jews, and in response to their boasting claim that they killed Jesus. What it’s denying is that the Jews killed Jesus, which of course is wrong, it was the romans that killed & crucified him. So the Quran doesn’t deny the crucifixion, and there is a verse of Jesus saying ‘peace on me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I get raised alive’. Most traditional Muslim scholars assume this is referring to judgment day, but this is a wrong conclusion, seeing as how when a human dies, after his death or during the period of judgment, nothing can change it, no form of intercession, so it wouldn’t make sense to say peace on those days. Seeing how this is only said about Jesus, it is clear it is referring to his resurrection. After all the bible is from God too, and there is a reason why Unitarian Christians exist, because they understand the original Greek and how it does NOT say Jesus is God. I dearly recommend you read the following websites; al-injil.net dreamsofisa.org (And this website to debunk trinitarian translations, btw keep in mind, Jesus being called ‘god’ (without definite article) does not mean he is a deity, but is used metaphorically, as it was an idiom to do so back then. This is abundantly clear whenever Jesus speaks of the one true God, the only God, his and our Lord, in other words, his and our metaphorical father. trinityexamined.com
@@lets_wrapitup i really liked your comment. Ill read surah maida and maryam again. But in surah maryam, in 19:15, they said about yahya as john that there be peade upon him the day he was born, died and raised alive again.
Thanks, Paul, for another interesting video. Yes, you and Geza Vermes are right that the expectation of a bodily resurrection of the dead at the end of the age was evolutionary within Judaism, maybe commencing with Daniel 12: 1-4 (whenever that was written and that is a matter for another discussion). Hence it was a matter of dispute including in the First Century. But that that should be a surprise to you is strange, when the Jewish disagreement over the the doctrine is clearly found within the New Testament, e.g., Mark 12: 18-27, Acts 23: 1-11. Also, unpicking the argument by Vermes that if Jesus clearly enunciated his coming death it should not have been a surprise to his disciples when it occurred. To be clear, there are three times in Mark, 8: 31-33, 9: 30-32 and 10: 32-34, where the prediction occurs. When it does, it is only given to the disciples, so they are hardly "drilled" such that this as an integral part of Jesus' message as they necessarily understood it. Also, the passages portray great perplexity on the part of the disciples and as they were Jewish, that is hardly surprising - the first prediction occurs directly after 8: 27-30, where Simon Peter makes a statement that is a climax to the first half of the Gospel, and we finally get the answer that has been asked by the various characters whom Jesus has encountered, "Who is this man?". And Peter provides the answer, not John the Baptist, not Elijah, not one of the prophets (so no, not like another religion you can think of! :) ), but instead he is the Christ. And unsurprisingly there is perplexity and continued confusion by the Jewish disciples at the initial and then subsequent predictions of his death. The Jewish expectation is that the Messiah, as God's appointed agent to inaugurate the kingdom of God, will abolish suffering and death. So the idea of a suffering Messiah is an oxymoron to them like saying "wet fire". Indeed, the idea of Jesus as a suffering servant and the reader's need to imitate that if required is part of the "Messianic secret" theme of Mark that propels the narrative after Peter's confession at Caesarea Philippi - even the disciples did not properly understand what the Kingdom of God can be like, but do you, the reader, truly recognise that Jesus is Messiah, what he did and what that entails for your potential suffering? While on the balance of probabilities naturalistic critical literary and historical scholarship would always argue that all "successful" predictions, whether by Moses, Isaiah, Jesus or Muhammed were added later, there is still a good case to be made that those by Jesus predicting his death are authentic. After all, if you are wanting to safeguard the reputation of the Apostles as the guardians of the true message of Jesus, why add in stories that portray them as ignorant mistaken cowardly idiots who can't understand a clear prediction? Therefore it is not altogether realistic for Vermes to posit that, IF the predictions of Jesus' death and subsequent confusion of the disciples took place as purported in the Gospels, that in the shock of the arrest, trial and death of Jesus the disciples should have instead have nonchalantly been expected to sit back and just take it all in while some Nostradamus-like box ticking exercise took place. Not when we know how people react in shock and the cognitive and emotional dislocation that occurs at such a time, I also thought that in your desire to stress the Gospels are 2nd generation or later, you've yet again been too zealous to separate out Paul and his first generation witness of I Corinthians 15:3 concerning the resurrection tradition, "3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance". Paul may have been independent of the Gospels and his revelation independent of the historical Jesus. Nonetheless he was not disconnected from the organic church. His writings indicate that, irrespective of whether Christ rose from the dead or not, Jesus' followers were sure believing it, almost certainly right from the first week after his death. Incidentally, I have terminal cancer and have planned that this will be the text at my funeral. Indeed, I'm intending to write the sermon and record it in advance for the day - and save my hard-worked minister some time! I digress... :) . Also, I was unconvinced by Vermes' argument that somehow, after 50 days of reflection, based on a woman's tale of a resurrection that was dismissed by them at the time as "nonsense", that somehow out of nowhere the disciples get the courage on Pentecost to preach before a potentially-hostile crowd...what?! The same supposed ethical monotheism of Jesus to a group of pilgrims who were already gathered there to celebrate their ethical monotheism?! And when the disciples didn't necessarily believe Christ has risen from the dead?! There is a reason the Romans crucified potential Messiahs - it was a surefire way of proving they weren't the Messiah, thus providing a point of theological dissuasion and physical discouragement for the followers to continue. yet somehow Jesus was different. What was most likely the difference? Answer: they REALLY believed very early he had risen from the dead. And again, even Vermes uses the term that you briefly brushed over - "the kingdom of God". In Jewish expectation that term is waaaaaaay more dynamic than just the ethical monotheism of Luke 24: 19, "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people". The kingdom of God, which was proclaimed by Jesus as imminent in his ministry (and the critical consensus is near adamant on that matter!) involves judgement, forgiveness of sins, the declaration of righteousness on the penitent and faithful, the end of the Devil's rebellion, the restoration of creation, the imparting of God's peace/shalom/salaam upon creation. And all those elements are in Paul's take on the Gospel. Plus the alleged ethical monotheism message still fails to account for why that provoked a charge of blasphemy by the Jewish authorities - and again, the consensus of critical scholarship is that Jesus was indeed charged with blasphemy. But what blasphemy? Mark's Gospel tells us, "...Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”" (Mark 14: 61a, 62) So sorry, yet again, in underestimating the meaning of the Kingdom of God in the Synoptics, and trying to shoe horn Muhammad's truncated vision of Jesus Engil, you've failed IMHO to address adequately what critical scholarship can reveal about Christ's message. But again, thank you for your efforts.
The Resurrection took place in the religious world of faith based make believe. The natural world that I live in is governed by laws that do not include the reversal of rigor mortis.
I've never understood Matthew 28:16-20 "Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; *but some doubted.* Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”" Forget about Matthew 28 contradicting Luke and John in the terms of location (Matthew claim it was in Galilee, Luke and John claim it was in Jerusalem) .. what bring attention to me is the sentence "but some doubted" .. why do they doubt? if it was clearly Jesus and not someone else also the rest of the verse look a lot similar to the Dajjal in the Islamic description .. specially the last sentence "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." .. a God claim that he is always with people "to" (or until) the end of age? what does that mean? the person speaking put an end to his presence with those people .. very suspicious also what we know is that Jesus said in Matthew 15 that he was sent only to the lost Children of Israel .. the supposed Jesus contradict himself after "he rose"?
The Parable of the wicked Tenants Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard in a land,He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit (Matthew 21:33-34) .The tenants seized his servants;and land owner send so many servants to the land but they beat one, killed another, and stoned killed, Last of all, he sent his one and only son to them. "They will respect my son," he said (Matthew 21:35-37). But when the tenants saw son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance." So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Then Jesus asked in , “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ‘The very stone which the builders rejected(son=Jesus) has become the corner stone, Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.”[a] These are the main character of the parable The landowner - represents God The vineyard - His Kingdom(Israel) The tenants - specifically Israel’s religious leaders and all who reject Him The servants - God’s prophets and faithful believers The beloved son - Jesus Christ New tenants- Gentiles, christians These are Jesus statements 1:iam the way truth and life no one come father except through me 2:everything father does son does 3:everything fathers hand is mine 4:all authority in heaven and earth given to me 5:if you seen me see father 6:before Abraham was iam 7:i and father are one Bro use the mention statements and connected with the character 1:You can reach father only through son not servants 2:everything father does son does not servant, only father can forgive and son Jesus forgive sins 3:everything father hand is owned by son not servants 4:all authority of father belongs to son not servants 5:you can see father only through son not servants Jesus Christ is the corner stone of christanity 1:Paul writes in 1st Corinthians 3:9a, "For we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field, you are God's building." Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone of our faith brings unity to the body of Christ. 2:Acts 4:10-12 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead-by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” 3:Ephesians 2:20-22 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit

Hi
You are certainly very intelligent.
Malcom X pointed out in the 1960's that in
Acts chapter 1 it states that Judas Iscariot died because he fell down on the ground and subsequently burst his intestinal organs open.
This is stupid as the Bible deals with the most important things in history - such as the establishment of Gods hebrew laws and the latter Resurrection of Christ -
so it should be COMPLETELY 100% ACCURATE.
All so called "holy" religions have their own scholarly gymnasts to defend their so called
"holy" books.
Just like the so called "Abrahamic" religions,
all the other world religions will contain elements of truth mixed with fiction - this just comes with the whole territory.

Muslims worship Dogs - but yet the great prophet Muhammad ordered Dogs to be killed as they were considered a health hazard and also their saliva is HARAM.

Excellent video.
Summarised in one verse :

Throughout history there have been many recorded cases of 'resurrection' of living creation including humans. The problem is what is the medical ďefinition of 'death' and how is death certified conclusively.
Excellent video. I never thought about these points before until now. The resurrection in each gospel, don’t match up with one another in regards to accuracy either.

Amazing content. 😸

Heaven already in the first verse of the Bible, and in other places in the OT (e.g. see Job):
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Resurrection in the Old Testament. There are few examples:
2 Kings 13: 20-21
20 Elisha died and was buried.

I think you should lock the exposure in your camera. Its flickering.

I appreciate your great observations. God bless.....
perhaps a better question is If the resurrection was fabricated, and the disciples did not see a resurrected Jesus, why spread the gospel?
There was no SAINT Paul at the time!
Saul appeared on the stage after Jesus PBUH has risen by about 5 years.
He first went to Arabia to make sure of something or someone!
on his way back he claimed to be chosen by a figure surrounded by light. (he himself later said Lucifer is cladding himself in bright light...)
Saul claimed he was given the uncircumcision Evangeline (nowhere to be found)
He preached against the teachings of Jesus PBUH, laying waste to the commandments ! he even dared to call Jesus CURSED, His twelve disciples LIARS
created a church in modern day Turkey that went against the Nazarene sect & the Church at Jerusalem!!!
Even though he claimed targeting Gentiles, He started preaching to Israelites !!!!
Saul Changed his name to "least" (Paul) thus fulfilling a prophesy in Matthew 5:19
"So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
It should be noted that Mark (a translator Aka John) is of his ministry, also Matthew & Luke !!!!
thus all the NT "proclaimed writers" never actually witnessed Jesus PBUH nor seen his face!
I dearly recommend you read the following websites;

(And this website to debunk trinitarian translations, btw keep in mind, Jesus being called ‘god’ (without definite article) does not mean he is a deity, but is used metaphorically, as it was an idiom to do so back then. @@RRiaz-np4lr yeah it is resurrection. But the death has to occur first.
Not when we know how people react in shock and the cognitive and emotional dislocation that occurs at such a time,
I also thought that in your desire to stress the Gospels are 2nd generation or later, you've yet again been too zealous to separate out Paul and his first generation witness of I Corinthians 15:3 concerning the resurrection tradition, "3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance".
Mark's Gospel tells us,
"...Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”" (Mark 14: 61a, 62)
So sorry, yet again, in underestimating the meaning of the Kingdom of God in the Synoptics, and trying to shoe horn Muhammad's truncated vision of Jesus Engil, you've failed IMHO to address adequately what critical scholarship can reveal about Christ's message.
But again, thank you for your efforts.
The Resurrection took place in the religious world of faith based make believe.
The natural world that I live in is governed by laws that do not include the reversal of rigor mortis.
Humans have human babies animals have animal babies but father and son are different
Look at the anonymous gospels. The witnesses. The holes in the views. A judge would throw it out of court. With zero hesitation
I've never understood Matthew 28:16-20
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”"
Forget about Matthew 28 contradicting Luke and John in the terms of location (Matthew claim it was in Galilee, Luke and John claim it was in Jerusalem) .. what bring attention to me is the sentence "but some doubted" .. why do they doubt? if it was clearly Jesus and not someone else
also the rest of the verse look a lot similar to the Dajjal in the Islamic description .. specially the last sentence "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." .. a God claim that he is always with people "to" (or until) the end of age? what does that mean? the person speaking put an end to his presence with those people .. very suspicious
also what we know is that Jesus said in Matthew 15 that he was sent only to the lost Children of Israel .. the supposed Jesus contradict himself after "he rose"?
The Parable of the wicked Tenants
Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard in a land,He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit (Matthew 21:33-34)
.The tenants seized his servants;and land owner send so many servants to the land but they beat one, killed another, and stoned killed, Last of all, he sent his one and only son to them.
He will come and kill those tenants and and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures:
‘The very stone which the builders rejected(son=Jesus) has become the corner stone, Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.”[a]
These are the main character of the parable
The landowner - represents God
The vineyard - His Kingdom(Israel)
The tenants - specifically Israel’s religious leaders and all who reject Him
The servants - God’s prophets and faithful believers
The beloved son - Jesus Christ
New tenants- Gentiles, christians
These are Jesus statements
1:iam the way truth and life no one come father except through me
2:everything father does son does
3:everything fathers hand is mine
4:all authority in heaven and earth given to me
5:if you seen me see father
6:before Abraham was iam
7:i and father are one
Bro use the mention statements and connected with the character
1:You can reach father only through son not servants
2:everything father does son does not servant, only father can forgive and son Jesus forgive sins
3:everything father hand is owned by son not servants
4:all authority of father belongs to son not servants
5:you can see father only through son not servants
Jesus Christ is the corner stone of christanity
1:Paul writes in 1st Corinthians 3:9a, "For we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field, you are God's building." Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone of our faith brings unity to the body of Christ.
2:Acts 4:10-12
let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead-by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
3:Ephesians 2:20-22
having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit
Thats the bible contradict the bible😂😂😂😂
I think it is just human nature for people to doubt. Even 2,000 years ago. But I understand your questions and they are perplexing to me too. I'm a Christian believer.
Peace
@Just Tama Because there is always hope that what I don't comprehend may someday come "into the light" and be understood by our finite minds. For now we see through the glass darkly... but someday we will understand it all. Let us hope God guides each of us.... Peace
8the pharisees did believe I the resurrection. The disciples risked their lives teaching about christ and the resurrection.
