He came over to my band's house and hung out with us about 19 years ago. He seemed like a sweet soul but was quite the partier back then; I'm sure he was for decades before that, as well as the ensuing 2ish decades. For that reason, I share your sentiment.
Just saw Evan play solo in Tampa last week at Crowbar in Ybor City. He was awesome and even got to chat with him briefly after the gig. What a sweet man and a gentleman.

The Lemonheads were my favorite band as a teenager. I also continued to follow Evan’s solo stuff. Actually learned to play guitar from one of their guitar tab books back in the day. He has an amazing voice.

My first (and only one) time I had the chance to see him was in Granada (Andalusia - Spain)... I was walking but the streets and saw a paper on a streetlight announcing a concert in a small hall that night... I enjoyed it! What a coincidence to see one my real heroes of my life there! Anyway, nice video and nice to see him again after a while...

Yeah, I've been a fan since the 90s but i havent seen him in yrs & this was incredibly alarming!! What happened?! I love Evan, but I'm gonna be brutally honest here, he looks greasy & dirty & unkempt- he wasn't even this grungy back when grunge was cool- and the rambling thoughts & the cadence of his speech & vocal inflections remind me very much of ppl I've known who were deep in the throes of alcohol addiction- "wetbrain," they call it. I really hope he's ok- he doesn't seem too well here.😕 Evan, if u see this, sending love dude, plz take care of yourself.💜✨💯💜

I love Evan and have done for the majority of my life. His music has been the soundtrack to my life and major landmarks in it. I've always defended him and he has always somehow, even at his lowest point, sounded great.
This is the first thing I've seen which has really worried me. Please don't waste what you have left Evan. Its never too late until it is and its "last orders at the bar".
Evan is this person. Illuminating sincere answers always and anyone who can memorize “…oh I saw a dying font back page full stop incorporate a bottom half ad space price each word print and it meant nothing” and play guitar and sing it simultaneously is a genius, his phrasing is impeccable. Thats one way of looking at it brother, he honestly came very close to creating an LP that is so dreamlike, in it's lyrics, sound and just the whole feel of it... I honestly think Evan is seriously underrated as far as melody writing, lots of little beatle-sy chord progressions... David Gilmour was once asked what song he wish he wrote "my drug buddy".. And Gilmours an ass so thats a hell of a compliment! But you can hear it here with Evan hes just so hard to get going so he can make some dollars!! He sounds cracked or methed here (no judgement but its fairly apparent.. Or else hes completely clean and white knuckling.. Got to see him live in Dublin a few yrs back playing "its a shame" the whole way through.. Hes a surprisingly good player! They like it loud! His poor head just seems to go a mile a minute... I cant imagine being in a group with him put it like that! But thats cos id be just as fooked 😂.. Ik this sounds weird but that" good looking list" he appeared on in the 90s just when his music was hitting... Dont get me wrong a handsome son of a bitch but that would've been the last thing he wanted at that stage.. In the post Nirvana 90s fear of selling a few copies! I remember he turned up to the awards (an absolute write-off😂) as his "protest" BUT he also missed a gig that night too... That would've been more of a protest! 😂 Dont care still love jamming to them. 👍
