I think what makes all Stargate series interesting is the action, mixed with real world / modern day settings and issues. The 'stargate / wormhole' concept is so brilliant because it's not only the ability to travel to new worlds, but really it's an imagination of how we might have turned out on Earth had certain historical events changed or turned out differently. If you're digging the battle scenes compilation, head over to Stargatecommand.co and check out our Top 7 Hand-To-Hand Combat scenes (link in the description). @Stink Wrinkles Well SG-1 did get all of that great tech from Thor. Samantha Carter programmed it to build here a Cello and then she learned to play it. That ship was not as weapon-heavy as the Ori ships though. So I do agree that a few of those ships would have made Earth quite strong. A few Ori vessels would have eaten the Wraith alive! Another fierce weapon was that sattelite weapon the Replicators sent to try and destroy Atlantis.

And the first Gen Gate also looks exactly like Destiny so it fits too.

How bout the action sequence in season 5 "fifth man" where jack has to defend himself and Lt. Tyler from a horde of jaffa until the rest of sg 1 can return.
One of my favourite battles was though in Atlantis where Carter in command of the USAF Phoenix (Hammond in the canon timeline) where she takes on three Wraith Hive ships and upon losing alone on her doomed starship rams it into the closest hi9ve that explodes taking out the other two i9n successive explosions. But that was sadly not SG-1 but SGA... Otherwise it is the Battle over Antarctica IN SG-1.
I did like how they kinda developed their own ways of military strategy around the gates as SGC got older. Oh we can't deploy tanks through the gate? Put a 50 cal on a rover chassis and slap a gun shield on it. Or how eventually when SGC knew it was a hostile world they would have multiple SG teams establish gate perimeter's while the main characters did their thing.
I don’t think there was once where SG-1 or any teams used an Abrams Tank. Granted they can’t really fit a tank through in the hangar let alone the Stargate. But there wouldn’t be many alien field forces that could stand up to something that tough without their own air support.
The realism and grittiness of SG-1's action scenes was one of the things that set it apart from other scifi shows. My personal favourite is this one: ua-cam.com/video/N5vhtKj30cE/v-deo.html - the dynamics of them taking it in turns to hold off the replicators, the Replicator getting shot just above Daniel's head, the muzzle flash rebounding off the walls, perfect.
The episode where the SG teams and Jaffa are trying to stop/capture the Kull Warrior Super Soldier and it just walk through bullet, explosions, and shields
The Jaffa were depowered so much that at that point in the series the Jaffa were basically just Power Ranger Putties and had become comedic relief. When they do another series hopefully the villains will be able to hit what they're shooting at for the simple reason when the villian is on their game, as when Janet died, it makes the heroes more heroic and the villians more threatening. Hey Bernie! See you on the otherside!
I just love how they use an AT-4 (anti-tank) as an anti-air launcher. should be using stingers; My favorite battles: shooting replicators at SGC, or Ark of Truth Replicator fight; Antarctica, escaping from Hathor's base (a lot of shooting from the hip), and the Abydos battle vs Anubis (AT-4 vs a transport, why not pack a glider cannon instead?)
Huh. In "Forever in a Day", out of all the Jaffa on that hill, only about three were Horus Guards. I mean uh, what happened? Did your beaks fall off? Hmm?
You should do badass scenes like the one where the tok'ra go to the alpha site with the rebel jaffa then later in the episode they face off tok'ra on one side then the jaffa on the other and they all aim their weapons. Or the one episode where teal'c saves master braytac and his son from that slave camp, and he braytac and that one jaffa he saves they line up and shoot their staff weapons! Idk those were badass
The show writers should never have killed off the Goauld threat in season 8. I would have loved to see more full scale battles, with 302s providing close air support, and maybe a troop transport version of the Daedelus Class cruisers.
One small clarification: The name of Russian SS was really "Korolyov" (lit. "son of king") it was the last name of Sergei Pavlovich Korolyov, famous Soviet rocket/spaceship designer and builder. His "Vostok" SLV pulled Yury Gagarin into very first manned orbital flight. The mess with "-ev" and "-yov" is because Russian norms of writing: if the word is well-known, it is permitted to use letter "e" (е) instead of letter "yo" (ё). For example, "yozh" ("ёж" - hedgehog) may be written as "ezh" ("еж" - "hegehook"), but it should be pronounced as "yozh" anyway. And when transliterating Russian names into Latin alphabet, it is required to made exact sound correspondings.
@@Sergei_Agarkoff Wow, I didn't know that. Although I know that a lot Russian (and also European) names get changed to fit US language. I figured it was someone famous, just not sure who. Genuinely, thankyou for pointing this out, it's nice to know that UK isn't the only country that get annoyed with the American way of changing words. (Yes, I'm aware that English as a language is made from a dozen others over centuries).
At your service. In this case no AmeriKa-style involved. More possible that SGx-makers asked some native Russian-speaking person about "How to write down the transliteration of Korolyov's last name?". And that person wrote "Korolev", as he could write in Russian, without visual designation of sound "yo" instead of "e".
How about that battle in S9, E14, of several SG teams assaulting Ba'al's fortress and ship to rescue Teal'c? That was a spectacular battle, and it really came out of nowhere at the end of an otherwise fairly slow episode.
Thats not even a challenge! Ill tell you about better battle scenes: The best battle scenes are in FULL EPISODES like the ones you guys used to stream on youtube :)
Why were there replicator bits when the ground battles from Stronghold, Out Of Mind / Into the Fire, and Icon are so much more compelling, intricate, and impactful, among many others? Replicator shootouts aren't compelling, they're simply holding actions while the real efforts take place elsewhere. There is no emotion, no empathetic tug-of-war, no real reason to invest when you know that it's about as meaningful as tossing a stone to distract someone while you sneak by to open the gate & let in the hordes.
I knew heroes 1-2 were going to get the top slot. Avenger 2 deserved an honorable mention Carter held off squads of Jaffa by herself so one of the scientists could reverse a virus that shut down the entire gate system

But that was sadly not SG-1 but SGA...
Otherwise it is the Battle over Antarctica IN SG-1.
Yass, that is an epic scene. We've got to make a Top 7 featuring that - Lawrence
When are we going to get the Thursday episodes back on You Tube?
They announced that wormhole Wednesdays are on hiatus for July and August. Not sure when they will start up again
Teal'c Akimbo style with his P90s
The battle at the Supergate when the Ori ships first comes to this galaxy
We need the top 7 space battles, so many to choose from like Reckoning and Camelot and a few with the Goa'uld
Great job!
When are u guys gonna have full episodes every Wendy’s day again? I really loved it when u did that. :D
You can watch all the episodes of SG on Stargate Command! - bit.ly/StargateCommand - Mark
Stargate Command thanks!
First Prime: Our shields are of no use!!
Anubis:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Please new series of the Stargate!
The hip fire always killed me. 🤦🏽♂️. Especially at long distance firing.
Heroes and Nemesis are my favorite episodes
Baal v. Adria v. SG! Verbal battle. Carter wins with "Why don't you two get a room?"
The episode where the SG teams and Jaffa are trying to stop/capture the Kull Warrior Super Soldier and it just walk through bullet, explosions, and shields
I love stargate I'm actually watching it right now.
Hey Bernie! See you on the otherside!
i cant believe they didn't include any battles with the ori on this list
the battle in "line in the sand" and the battle at the supergate were awsome
I just love how they use an AT-4 (anti-tank) as an anti-air launcher. should be using stingers; My favorite battles: shooting replicators at SGC, or Ark of Truth Replicator fight; Antarctica, escaping from Hathor's base (a lot of shooting from the hip), and the Abydos battle vs Anubis (AT-4 vs a transport, why not pack a glider cannon instead?)
Saison 3 beginning was pretty sick too
48 Hours' opening scene made me feel really worried for Teal'c because he didn't make it through in time
Edit: I found out how to spell it!
What happened to the weekly posting of shows? I miss those.
Witch one of the streaming Services ... Stream SG SGA SGU
Huh. In "Forever in a Day", out of all the Jaffa on that hill, only about three were Horus Guards.
I mean uh, what happened? Did your beaks fall off? Hmm?
Everything the P90 is in
How many scenes do you think the P90 shows up in? Are you saying we need a Top 500 video? Are you trying to kill us? - Lawrence
Thanks
You should do badass scenes like the one where the tok'ra go to the alpha site with the rebel jaffa then later in the episode they face off tok'ra on one side then the jaffa on the other and they all aim their weapons. Or the one episode where teal'c saves master braytac and his son from that slave camp, and he braytac and that one jaffa he saves they line up and shoot their staff weapons! Idk those were badass
Teal'c suing the heavy gun! :D
The show writers should never have killed off the Goauld threat in season 8. I would have loved to see more full scale battles, with 302s providing close air support, and maybe a troop transport version of the Daedelus Class cruisers.
9:23 Jack loses his flashlight on the P90
I just wish they would bring sg 1 back to tv
We do too! Fingers crossed. - Mark
The battle with the Ori, with the Korolev, Odyssey, Asgard, Lucian Alliance, Free Jaffa, and Sam Carter watching helpless from the supergate.
I've got to admit that the Siege of Atlantis was waaaaaaay more epic than any of SG-1's.
One small clarification:
The name of Russian SS was really "Korolyov" (lit.
What about the battle of p3y 229
Saving that for another list ; ) - Barney

@@beth9509 really? And I wasted my internet not knowing about you!

I was hoping to see when Teal’c got stuck in the home invasion simulator.
Guys! The battle of Stronghold (914) where a giant battle/rescue mission is happening!
3:56. Transporting in front of a man with a P90…
