I'd leave that body as is, once you start using filler on anything hardbody or printed if your rolling them over taking hard hits they'll just break the filler. I kinda like the look of it looks killer on the capra. Nice work Neo

I was worried if bondo or body filler would adhere very well and I can see exactly what you describe happening lol. I might try a wrap because it can be replaced easily(ish) lol. Thank you dungeon! Really appreciate it!!

As mentioned earlier, bondo or I’d start with some light coats of high build primer and sand lightly between coats and when painting keep in mind Black or Red shows blemishes really bad.

Since I’m not a painter or body guy this is really good information. I knew black would show imperfections but didn’t know about red. I’m hesitant to use bondo or body filler because of the weight it might add and if it would adhere to the shell very well. Hate to hit something and big chunk falls off after all the work of making it look nice. That would be my luck lol. Really good information and I thank you sir! 👍

@@NEO-RC I would start with just high build and light sanding, minimal weight and hopefully not lose the body lines

Use filler primer, wet sand, re prime, wet sand prime again, sand with 500 grit, paint and it will be good

Not familiar with filler primer but will definitely look for it. Thanks so much for the suggestion and the info!!

@@NEO-RC I have 3 Capra's with these bodies. Yes they're rough, but with some sandable filler primer, a couple coats with sanding in between, they come out great. Wish I could share a pic here.

@@jeffr.1219 well that is really good to know and I might just have to try that 👍

It looks way better. I don’t know I think I’d leave the body finish like it is looks pretty good but I’m only seeing it on camera. Mine has the stock panels but I’ve placed stickers over everything & have some carbon wrap I’m going to put on it. I’d definitely leave that cab & small rear section. That’s what makes it not look like all the others & makes it more yours. It also probably makes it easier to convert to 2.2 wheels they definitely will clear that body. It’s looking good though. 👍

Thanks so much! I kinda like too, I was thinking about wrapping it so that’s definitely an option. I’m just not a huge fan of the primer gray color that shell came in so that’s why I want paint it, but it doesn’t look horrible lol. Thanks again for the all info and support!!

Bondo and sandpaper to fix that body.

How heavy is bondo? I’ve never done any body work before and concerned about the weight and if it would adhere to the surface real well. Thank you for the suggestion and info! Definitely might be an option.
