Please don't consider this an official comment, just one from a fellow Triton user. That screen CAN be nudged up even more, past the limit. Just note that if you bring it past the normal stopping point, it will bump into the shield whenever you open and close it. I've heard a couple users complain about the angle of the screen for those who have their machines mounted on a higher surface, but you can pull it farther forward with a little more pressure.
I have the Triton key cutter. I bought one back in March, put it in my van... lasted a week then the cutter misaligned. Sent it back to Lock Lab and they were very good about sending another. Well, that one only lasted about a week and had the same issue. So, I sent that one back and they sent me another one factory tasted. I guess they ran a few keys in the factory on it. I received the new one and have not unboxed it. I believe this is a good bench top machine for inside a shop. But, im mobile. I dont think it handles the road bumps well at all. I purchased an XHorse by Condor. I love it. Durable, rechargeable and it cuts side cut and laser cut automotive keys. Triton is a great machine. Just wish it could handle Michigan roads. If anyone has any suggestions on a way to help absorb the shock of bumps im open to suggestions. My service vehicle is a 2014 Transit Connect.
@@24hrMrLocksmith They were very good about sending the machine back and replacing it... I just think the machine doesn't handle being mounted in a mobile locksmith vehicle. I wish it did, I love the machine, it progresses keys and does tubular, automotive and house keys. Maybe a full size van would be more suitable considering they have a better suspension then the transit connects.
I had mines only a few weeks and installed it in my 2013 Ford transit van on my work bench i thought it was me but am having the same problem aswell miscutting keys bad didnt have this problem until I installed in my van but overall this is a great key machine is there a fix to this?
@@michaeldillon3784 My 5.11 Winter boots are just starting to wear a bit after 5 years. I went to Asia and I bought a pair of Desert 5.11 boots and wore them for 12 weeks and a Typhoon. Super comfortable.
@@kingboxing2481 its a great machine. Only downfall I can find is that I would not use it in a mobile locksmith operation. A lockshop would be great. But, if you put it in a vehicle the bouncing around and bumps mess up the balanced gimble that holds the cutter and the probe.
I just got this machine. Beautiful, high tech key machine
Looking forward to seeing more.😎
