THE crowning glory of all martial arts films has arrived in 4k. Good to know Bruce had also watched the final edit, before his untimely passing. He would have loved the adulation this film recieved. Such a shame. Enjoy the viewing Stripey in the cinema. Watched it 3 years ago in the cinema. Amazing experience! Bruce electrifying the screen
I'm old enough to have seen all the Bruce Lee classics in my local cinema. The original release of Fist Of Fury and Enter The Dragon with the nunchuck fights intact. Back in the days when cinema ran double bills. A lot of the scenes that went missing from Boss were intact on original release. Keep up the good work.
they were not ........... your mind is playing tricks . I have cassette recordings I made in the fleapit in 1974 and I assure you there was nothing like we have now .
Watched ETD in the cinema about 3 years ago. Absolutely amazing seeing Bruce in action on the big screen. Honestly felt like being transported back to 1973. Loved it.
Being in Australia. Unless you really looked for it, this and the Golden Harvest box set have had hardly any exposure over here. Cheers Stripey! I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel last night. Anything Bruce Lee gets my attention immediately.
From what I understand only the mono track has Bruce Lee's voice on the extra scene...so guess I will just switch over at the moment and then switch back to my 11 channel sound. Cannot wait. I marathoned Brandon Lee movies on bluray and have been impressed by how fun his cheesy movies are. Sad that both died in their 5th movies (since Bruce Lee did his true starring vehicles not counting his odd job years).
My preorder of the Steelbook from Best Buy arrived today in a oversized box with those puffy air filled shipping cushions which was a pleasant surprise !!!! Normally they send in those corrugated cardboard that sticks to the item !!! then you have to peel off the cardboard to remove the item !!! no damage to the steelbook !!! not like Arrow UK which still hasn't sent me a damaged yellow box set !!!!
Best Buy had a steelbook exculsive in america. Was nice to get steel book without having to pay for the pricey one with the photos and a movie art things.
Giving this release a miss. I don't have a 4K TV or player and certainly don't need another copy of Curse of the Dragon documentary. Regarding Henry Wong. In Steve Kerridges book The Best of Bruce Lee Forever Magazine Vol1, there's an interview with Henry who states he handed over to Fred Weintraub 20 cans of behind the scenes of ETD footage.
I don't blame you, fella. If you haven't got 4K stuff, there's no point, there's nothing new. I wonder if the 20 cans of BTS stuff is still around. I've heard WB are ruthless with old film/posters etc. I hope it appears one day somewhere. Cheers Mate 👍
Well Enter the Dragon 4K and cinema release almost in the same week! Would've been icing on the cake if Warners had pulled their finger out and gave us some extras we hadn't seen before , a bit of effort for the fans rather than something that feels like a cash grab.... I still bought it though ! 😂
After seeing “Enter The Dragon” on the big screen again last night I noticed a few changes since they said it was in 4k. 1) When I saw they still included the extra head monk scene I thought I would be watching the Special edition version. Yes they still included the jazzy theme with Williams and the police(which is silent as the police car approaches in the theatrical version)but they put back in suspenseful music when Roper pulls the cat off the guillotine and the drum roll as Roper is escorted to Lee & Bolo. Of course they left the Helicopters approaching sounds in before Lee looks up. In the theatrical version you don’t hear them until you see the helicopters.
Another great video Stripey, the damaged cover slip...hate that! but that's the price we pay for getting it delivered to the door lol ..looking forward to more Golden Harvest from you, then I'll know what to look out for when I get a chance to watch them in peace! -- as for the 6 hours lost footage from the ETD set.. we can only hope? but would Warner Bros know what do do with it?...give it to Arrow! - Keep up the good work.
Great to have you back Stripey. The cinema release is, I think, the theatrical cut ( Hurrah!) and I'm seeing it in Oxford on the 21st. Now, funny enough the first time I saw it was in 1979 in a very cut version .It was a midnight double bill with ' Blackbelt Jones' at the Phoenix picture house. Now here I am going back to that same little cinema to see it again - but this time in all its uncut glory! Cant wait to hear your review of the 4K UHD release and your Southend 'Enter The Dragon' experience Stripey.
Gonna go watch it in cinema! Keep a lookout for your local UK cinemas Stripey! Odeon and Vue are showing it from the 11th of August as far as I’m aware
@Stripey from last week. I found out from a post I seen on X ( Twitter) that they showing for 1 night only. In 4K Restoration. Enter the dragon. So, I jumped on to book my seat straight away as lucky as I did, as the good seats was going fast! So I'm looking forward to next Sunday night the 13th for that treat to see it on the BIG Screen. 🍿😁🥋🤗📽😍
Got my copy today too. Here in America it comes with 4k disc only. Tomorrow I’m picking up the steelbook also. Gotta have all for the display. Great video by the way.

Sorry to see your package was a bit roughed up. The companies aren't treating Bruce Lee 4Ks very well. First world problems, I reckon, but disappointing just the same. Anyway, have fun with the wedding. EDIT:The code unlocked a 4K digital copy a couple days later.

Hi Stripey, as it’s segment “A Fistfull Of Yen” is a very faithful but at the same time hilarious spoof of “Enter The Dragon”, I would love to hear your thoughts on “Kentucky Fried Movie”! Have you ever watched this movie? Couldn’t find anything about it on your channel. Hope you’ll give it a try if you haven’t seen it. Truly recommend it! Greetings from The Netherlands!
I've always found it incredibly stupid that they send blu-rays and DVDs with slipcovers in packaging like that. For the same price they make small boxes to mail those in. You think somebody would get a clue and just use those but nope it's always them stupid flat mailers.
I actually cancelled my pre-order. I've heard the picture quality isnt much better than the Blu-Ray , now owning the film 3 times on Blu-Ray is it really worth the upgrade ? interested hear you're thoughts
I think for £20, it's worth the upgrade, mate. The colours look very vibrant and the Atmos bass is deep. But the lack of any new extras, is disappointing. I'm not even sure the new trailer is on there (I've only had a quick look) 👍
Yep they say wong footage exists in archives somewhere in unmarked can 🤦. He so should have given that footage to golden harvest!!!!! Not Warner’s. It’s like Warner’s don’t even like Bruce lee or something. Very strange, 6 hours!!! Even Paul heller who produced ETD said no footage exists haha, which shows u how little WB cared for all that stuf. 50 years ago now, doubt it will ever see light of day, also they don’t just have an endless vault for old shit ha. From Time to time they will absolutely bin stuff so prob wishful thinking it’s conveniently sat on a shelf somewhere.. but it would be so awesome tho obv. I take it no copyright issue for u re selling t’s with Bruce lee image on it? 😛 haha
Just the most lazy presentation for the 4k. Why not use the original poster art on the front? They could have made this look so much cooler. Hopefully the 4k is what counts inside!

Have you ever watched this movie? Couldn’t find anything about it on your channel. Hope you’ll give it a try if you haven’t seen it. Truly recommend it! Greetings from The Netherlands!
I've watched the Kentucky Fried Movie plenty of times, mate. A Fistful of Yen is hilarious (they couldn't make that film today)
I'm not even sure the new trailer is on there (I've only had a quick look) 👍
correct , the Arrow 2K is better !
That's why I don't buy my films from amazon, had too many damaged.
From
Time to time they will absolutely bin stuff so prob wishful thinking it’s conveniently sat on a shelf somewhere.. but it would be so awesome tho obv. I take it no copyright issue for u re selling t’s with Bruce lee image on it? 😛 haha
Just the most lazy presentation for the 4k. Why not use the original poster art on the front? They could have made this look so much cooler. Hopefully the 4k is what counts inside!
