    KYOSHO, please release a metal transmission gear hop up part. Some of us want brushless power.

    What a real suspension and classic design became more real!! Can’t wait to buy this for my 2 years old boy officially but for myself unofficially :)

    The design is pretty cool. Love that its a 2wd so you really get to drive it. MOA should help with traction while the center mass battery keeps it planted, great idea great design. Ordering

    Such a great looking Truck. Don’t mind 2WD. 4x4 Drive would be Very Kool. But for some Reason they Keep it as 2WD still very Kickass Truck. KYOSHO MAKE AWESOME RCs. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM.

      I have..with the NON-Pro version; the steering rack system sucks balls, and the MOA made the rear really bouncy.

    I really want to like this, as a solid axle rear/independent front sounds like a daily driver, the steering rack arrangement on the non-pro version gums up with dirt and fries servos.
    Hopefully that's changed for the pro..Otherwise, I'm excited about making a rally car from the proven MK2 chassis.

    Love everything about this truck it looks wicked it has dual spare wheels, but the Motor On Axle is horrible why why why twenty year old design sets it back and goes to the bottom of my wants list such a shame when I saw it I was excited but not now.

    • @abelvelazco5450
      @abelvelazco5450 4 роки тому +2

      Well it works, it puts weight on the axle, and the battery is chassis mounted so it evens out. And the moa design on this has very good shocks, back then the shocks were mediocre at best.

    I was almost sold on this until I saw the motor on axle setup. That is some 1990s radio shack technology.

    Finally a 2wd trophy truck. Hopefully people will start racing these instead of the slash 2wd.
    The motor on the axle is better for traction considering it's 2wd. The main issue when converting other trophy trucks to 2wd is no grip on the rear. This truck solves that. And looks like it corners better too

    Scale looks great front suspension great MOA just lost a sale really like it over all but come on I expect Tamiya to still do MOA vehicles but you as a company can do better, you have expieriance of solid axle vehicles so why not for this model.

  • @TwoBlackMarks

    I really like the look and such, but the motor on the axle is just wrong. I do not know how good these sell, but if it had a driveshaft and the motor in the chassis it would probably be much more popular, especially since realism is such a big thing in RC offroad/scale stuff these days, and have been a long time now. I wonder why and how Kyosho came to the conclusion of producing that rear end..
    I actually seriously wanted to buy one of the first that came, the Blue/White ones, but that motor on axle is soo wrong for me, when the rest is so "realistic"... They are even pretty cheap, but the motor on axle is just such a big no for me, so I ended up buying something else, that was much more expensive too..
    They could probably just use an shortened Mad Force axle as the rear axle anyway, if saving money is the goal they would have saved money too using most parts they already have in production. I would think atleast.

      Valid points. But on another note, I'm a big fan of 2WD bashers. IMO there is just less there to break. The type of RC you're talking about (basically a Losi Baja Rey or something) looks great and would be nice. But sometimes I hear conflicting reviews on maintenance. I don't mind wrenching. But if there's less to break and a truck is super tough? I'm not going to complain about the less time fixing. Anyways, you're right. with the body off and the motor on the axle, it's ugly. But freeze this video at 1:40 and see the bottom. Completely covered & protected. You never even see it. That's good enough for me. Now I'm curious to see how much this goes for. If it's like $400 plus then that's a miss as you might as well just get a Baja Rey. But if it's more affordable? Consider me interested.

      @@sudsrc8261 I agree, I also loved that it was 2WD, I actually was really ready to buy one, and anticipated to burn some money at launch, while I was dissapointed when it came out and saw the motor on axle, I tried to convince myself with what you say, less broken parts, maybe bulletproof, no axle to loose and bend etc.
      But I did not manage to convince myself to buy one, they are/was very cheap when I wanted one, I think they was almost only 250$ Max 300$, do not know what they sell for now, this one is of course (Or probably) more expensive though.
      It is kind of weird, because I have other RC`s that is not realistic, like my old Raider Pro that has the motor on the side.
      But this type of truck, that is so realistic in all or many other aspects of the car, it seems like a missed opportunity to get some of the scale crowd.
      I also wonder how it drives with the heavy axle, it could actually just help with traction.
      I do still want one, and I may buy one some time, since I love 2WD, and it still looks great, but then again, I also want the new Ultima... The one I bought instead of the new Outlaw was an Thunder Tiger Jackal, to be honest, the last thing I should do is to buy another RC car.. I have so "many", and have not used them much lately either...

      @@TwoBlackMarks I found out about an hour ago looks like it sells for $315. I was thinking "Not bad for the price". I just assumed it was brushless. Nope. it's brushed. That's a hard pass for me then. Even if you upgraded it, that's getting too close to the price of a Baja Rey which I'd rather have. I just think pretty much anything 1/10 with brushed motors should be in the 200 or less range. Any time we're spending 300 or more, I expect brushless.

    • @TwoBlackMarks
      @TwoBlackMarks 5 років тому +1

      And by the way, I am actually more worried that Kyosho make choices that is bad for them than what I want. I think the "Scale crowd" would be all over this if it had an traditional axle shaft. The RC business is not going as strong, so wrong decisions can add up fast in these days. My first RC was an Kyosho, I have several Kyoshos and consider myself an Kyosho fan and just want them to succed and make more cool cars. Lately RC cars have actually started look better again, since I do not like how modern Buggies and Trucks, etc. look. (Not that everything was so great before either) But now it is slowly turning it seems, especially with the re-releases. They look awesome.
