Well Sony has given us 4 good Spider-Men, I’m including Miles with all 3 Live action. Plus Nic did nail Noir for the time we did see him. Who knows maybe with Amazon attached it could be something good perhaps idk

It's not going to be bad. The project chose Nicholas Cage instead of Nicholas Cage choosing the project. As long as Nick didn't make the initial decision. It'll turn out for the best.

They'll probably be fine. Sony Animation is a different company than Sony live action films, they're a subsidiary of Sony. Its why all the animated films are completely different in tone and quality

@@ExplosiveZombie I disagree with u! The Spiderman the films that didn't have Kevin Feige on them were horrible. The public agrees with me as well. They didn't make a lot of money actually a lot of them lost money for Sony. Sony just puts out whatever to keep the Spiderman IP. Those movies are God awful with no direction!
Fiege wasn't involved with Netflix's "Punisher" series, and it did well. With the same team behind this, I have much more confidence in its quality, regardless of Sony being attached to it.

I've been hoping for a live action Spider-Man Noir. Back when I first heard Nick Cage was going to be voicing the character in 2018, I thought he'd be a perfect fit for that character.

Noir was one of the, if not THE, best extended Spider verse characters. Nic Cage was the perfect cast for voice and I'm sure he can pull off the physical gig.
It's up to Sony and the development crew to NOT screw this up.

The only thing that has me personally worried is when the article says they’re excited to explore this “re imagining” of the character. Given Sonys track record, I wouldn’t be surprised if that meant they were straying away from source material 😪
Thats one of the biggest reasons Im so glad I never read the source material of anything, friends had issues with the Boys over it, I love that show, Walking Dead, I loved that show, Xmen, Marvel, DC, characters, doesnt matter, whichever projects that have come out, that not knowing the source material would have made those projects better..😂

This is one of the most exciting of the recent announcements. Even better it a TV series.
I think once they finish Hardy's Venom trilogy that Sony Pictures should just strictly stick to doing animation when it comes to their own Spiderman stuff from now on. They're very lucky that Disney/Marvel sought out the deal to share the live action version for the MCU.
Sony needs to just quit and give the whole franchise over to Marvel before it's too late
