It’s so true. I didn’t study math since I was in grade 9. Now I have to take a colleage math exam without those foundations. It’s suffering. I felt so hopeless but then I decided to go back and built my foundations along with taking colleage classes. I went to bed at 2:00AM and woke up at 7:00AM everyday. The first week I didn’t understand anything, but after 2-3 weeks, I was able to solve difficult problems that I couldn’t in the first week.
I procastinated and studied the day before my final maths exam . I was able to grasp upon the main concept quickly , but the problem is I always end up messing up normal calculations which leads me to mess up the final ans . But as for the exam it didnt went too bad so I'm sure I can pass .
I have a math exam in a few days and I’m trying to do better then last time and it’s big one. And I have the same problem as you, but I don’t realize it and I get low marks because of little stuff even if I did good in it.
Same I can understand the concepts quickly (unlike physics where it takes me forever to get it) but actually mastering it to the point where I can use the concepts is harder. Often in college, getting a C on a test goes from meaning that you only partially understood the concept to meaning that you understood it but struggled to apply it.
I have my exams coming up in two months! And I was so much stressed about maths beacuse even though I understood every concept, I still couldnt solve all the questions. Then I realised that I keep forgetting some of the points so I started with regular revision and now I'm im able to solve a variety of questions on that topic. I'm glad I figured it out right on time because maths has never been less than a nightmare for me 🫠 Also, thanks for the video, keep growing 💜✨

So I’m watching videos on how to work efficiently so I can finally pass my exam. My problem seems to be that I memorise how to do the exercises more than I understand it. But I’m so used to memorise and I I’m not sure I know how to understand. The other courses where you have to memorise and also understand but not in such a 100% logical math level I pass them right (chem, biology, anatomy, histology, embryology, somehow physics. Yeah I understand physics way more than maths, even chem lab). The only issue I have is math. With biology and embryology and anatomy and histology : it make sense to me. I understand why because it’s all about a concept that you understand and apply all the calculus linked to it. I know what an acid is and how it react. So I can solve a problem that involve an acid. Same for physics. I know what the law of Newton are and what they mean, so I wan solve a problem. But math? It’s a little bit more abstract and I struggle to understand why it’s like this? There’s a lot of theorems and it somehow also make sense. But he’s hardee for me to catch
