I played the ending when Elise went out with Freya and didn't sacrifice her. The best part about dating Freya is her father Gustav even approved their relationship, which makes it very wholesome.
@henrytruongfe522 Freya and Leb's happy endings are really wonderful - Elise gets to live out her dreams with her soulmate. If you decide to sacrifice them though... their bad endings are even more painful than the canonical one with Rozenmarine.

It was Diana Garnet, Elise's VA who did it. She's too great to sing in Japanese. I'm not kidding, although she's American. She was also sung from the ending song in League of Chongyue ...from Arknights.... though... Huh...🤔😒🤦
the scene right after this reveals that elise was singing in the town square so at 0:22 rozenmarine had to deal with a girl she’s known for one night busting in singing 😭
I just thought of something... among the many comments here and aside from relating to the protagonist. One thing that crossed my mind us that, is it possible that the shoes caused her to hallucinate and influenced her to do all that? Ellise herself doesn't seem like she'd do that. Yet after the song she finds herself in the middle of the town.
Tbh I don't think so , mostly because I could see Elise doing this at this point. Keep in mind she's been disrespected all her life and socially isolated for the most part. Sure Lebkuchen and Freya talk to her but besides them Elise has nothing and everyone seems perfectly content with how Elise is treated. Even Lebkuchen doesn't seem to give much of a fuck and that's her best friend. Her mother died and all she has left is the house she grew up in with barley any food on her table. I don't think it's unreasonable for her to start doing this at the first sight of a cute , expensive looking pair of shoes that seem to have been made just for her. And plus this doesn't go away it's just less dramatic as the game goes on, her craving for fortune only grows from here on out. Here she's galvanting with glee and sure she's a bit arrogant but like can you blame her ?? After this she gets less gleefull and more desperate and bitter. She's gotten a taste of what she wants and it's not enough , she's still stuck in kieferberg despite the shoes. As the game goes on each day her mental health gets just a little worse. Elise on day one wouldn't have gone into hell basically even if she didn't know it. After everything that's happend she's been pushed to her limit and all she wants is to be happy
Early in a playthrough so I don't know if this is true, but my assumption right now is that the shoes were cursed and caused this. Because immediately she does this. And then RIGHT AFTERWARDS, she contacts a mysterious witch-like figure. Seems a bit too convenient to be coincidence, especially after you just went through a full day or two of nothing even remotely like this happening.
Good catch. I also thought it felt out of character but then again Elise had already demonstrated to be a bit odd. But if it were to be that the shoes are purposefully cursed in order to bewitch Elise i would definitely want to believe so. Her entering the witch domains and generally ignoring all the warnings given to her by the golden maidens, and being surprised when things get weird ... like friend you are dealing with actual demons what did you expect? But if a veil was casted over her better judgement by the ruby shoes, i could understand her behaviour a bit more i guess. Edit: im only noticing her eyes turning a yellow shade in her crazy face. Rozenmarine's eyes also turned a yellow shade in the intro animation, i assume it's associated with being bewitched or in somewhat of a trance. Anyhow don't know if that was the intention of the writers

Playing this game after playing pocket mirror was... spoilers such a painful experience, knowing everything that would happen and how the game would end and who was Rozenmarine and who made the Pocket Mirror and why, left me filled with dread. i envy the people that will play this game without knowing the story of pocket mirror, because they won't know which ending is the true ending, i wish i never read the wax records in pocket mirror
There is no "True" ending in the game though. Pocket Mirror is basically the bad end alternate timeline, all the other endings are just as canon. That's the whole point of having multiple endings, you're deciding their fate.

How come they kept the singing in Japanese in the English version. It is because of the rule in the anime world that no one except the original singer is allowed to sing in anime?
I believe all the VAs did both the english and the japanese audio tracks, so it wouldn't be that rule no. Also the devs are Portuguese so they may have done the script in english first anyway.
gameplay wise, absolutely. it'd be accurate to call it rigidly structured. not surprising given the nature of the narrative but i will say that i'm enjoying said narrative way more than pm though i haven't finished lgts yet
i can see your point. for me, i found that it helped understand elise's struggles- doing the same things day in and out to barely scrape by on food. i think what helped was that i liked improving at the mini games and talking with the townsfolk.
