@TravellingDany I studyed italian in a school for foreigners. (Scuola Dante Alighieri). I had a wonderful time there, living among the Italians. A true immersion!
My grandfather was born in Recanati. When he was 20 years old emigrated to Argentina in 1884, and never go back. I am 65 years old. Now is my time. I will be there on October 4th. Later 140 years. Thanks for your wonderful video and explanations.
Silvia, welcome to Italy! We’re super happy you’re coming, and we hope you will have a lovely trip! Are you going to look for your family in Recanati, or are they all abroad now?
Beautiful photos but one mistake: the "St. Agostino Bell Tower" you included actually a water tower. It now has a cute poem at the base, written in the style of Leopardi, saying "Thank you for the photos, but I am not the tower you're looking for." It's apparently the most photographed water tower in Italy! The real bell tower is on the other side of the cloister. I just got back yesterday from a month in Recanati (3rd time in 5 years) and lived in the cloister as part of the Scuola Dante Aligheri. Every day I saw visitors taking pictures of the water tower and I'd redirect them to the bell tower which has an actual bell.
Yay! I’m sure you’ll love it! And for Valentine’s day there will also be quite a lot of events! It is, after all, one of the cutest and more romantic towns in Italy!
