I don't have any particularly insightful comments about this episode, except to mention that further exploration beyond the arena of the dancing lion is worthwhile; notice the map shows a curved structure in the center of the frame at 0:40 With all those heard meows, we were expecting a cat frolic interlude in this episode. One comment of a general nature I'd like to make concerns how characters in Elden Ring are named. You'll notice that very few people have conventional first and last names: Kenneth Haight, Nepheli Loux, Hoarah Loux, and Gideon Ofnir are the only ones I can think of just now. We do meet others (Fia, Roderika, Radagon, Blaidd) who presumably do have last names, but we don't learn them. But most characters have binomial names of the form title-name. For example Smithing Master Hewg (title=smithing master, name=Hewg), Needle Knight Leda (title=needle knight, name=Leda). And even Ranni would fit the pattern (title=lunar princess). This even extends to non-humanoid characters, where the binomial name often takes the form genus-species or species-name, e.g. Divine Beast Dancing Lion (genus=divine beast, species=dancing lion), Glintstone Dragon Adula (species=glintstone dragon, name=Adula). Finally, some literally anonymous characters are named only by title or species.
