Up the Prado! Great to see it walk K’Gari with ease. Can’t wait to take my 120 there. This is such a great series. Sorry to hear about the break-in… Grubs!
Thanks for the clean up message(s). I've been around long enough to see many great places closed off or restricted because of the mess left by a small percentage of ignorant off roaders. Unfortunately there's also a few people around who take what's not theirs. Pleased to hear that you're not letting it stop your trip. Great episode. Thanks.
Hi mate, It's still blows me away that people have to be told to take their rubbish out with them - makes my blood boil when I come across other peoples garbage. Hopefully it'll get through people's heads soon! Thank you so much for watching! Cheers, Mitch
I was put off going to Fraser because both the infamous inskip and nagla but as it turns out - it was nothing - air down to correct pressure, keep momentum up but not rev up like crazy- a spinning wheel is not going to give you forward momentum- I actually use low 2nd and 3rd doing about 30 - nice and steady and you wonder what all the fuss is all about!
@@4wdsupacentreAu could not agree more - wish i have done it earlier - the place is magical, and that's saying a lot from people like me who prefer the bush over beach
@4wdsupacentreAu Oh I will be staying tuned. A realistic travelling show to give me genuine inspiration is exactly what I need .... not to fuel my holiday desires but to inspire my destinations .... especially the how (permits, money) and the direction.
Awesome video enjoying your series already. Loved the build series can’t wait for the video. Already made my mind up when we do cape York next year first stop will be Fraser. Keep up the good work. The soccer mums car was turned into a beast sorry to here what happened to you guys in cairns. Enjoy your lap and thanks again for the videos.
What a bunch of scumbags those thieves where. I hope the rest of your trip goes far more smoothly. That Prado performed really well at K'gari, particularly how well it drove through Ngkala Rocks. What tyre pressures where you running?
Thank you! I was running 16PSI for the majority if our time there - I bumped back up to 22PSI for long trips on hard, compact sand which seemed to work perfectly. Cheers, Mitch
Out of interest, did you have the driver seat in the Prado modified. I’m 6ft 5 and I’ve been testing Prado 120s and the leg room is woeful. Did you extend the rails or happy the way it was?
Great start to your adventure. Pity about the break-in - utter scumbags. But I believe in karma and they'll get their just deserts. And just like you, I'm continually bamboozled why people continue to leave their rubbish behind. One campsite I recently went on had bins provided by the State Forest which was no more than 30m from bottles and cans left on the firepit. I'm still bewildered why some people still don't get it. Leave it better than you found it peeps. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures.
Great episode mate I feel for u there is to much scum in cairns that steal and break in everyday I love here it’s literally out of control so disgusting up hear can’t wait for the rest of ur trip 🤙
Unfortunately me sharing with you the exact caravan park won't make any difference - these opportunistic grubs hit all of the caravan parks in Cairns on the same night, one by one. So all I'd say is to make sure everything is locked up correctly and out of sight. Cheers, Mitch
Nothing worse than getting your belongings stolen. Always lock your car no matter what. They really don’t care if they are caught because they know they won’t be punished.
What lowlife’s mate what goes around comes around mate I’ll get what’s coming to him. One-day items can be replaced but lives can’t but I don’t know how it feels when you get something taken off you I had a vehicle stolen. Have a good one mate I’ll see you on the track one-day. 👍🏻🍺🍺🇦🇺
No worries mate I own a GU Nissan patrol 98 model petrol still doing work to it to get it to where I want it to be but it still doesn’t stop me getting out on the tracks. Have a good one and stay safe on the tracks buddy 👍🏻🍺🍺🇦🇺

I was just at Fraser. Zone 5 is closed. 22 psi is great. 16 isn’t necessary, my 105 was fine.
Really sorry to hear you lost all the footage but at least you've got the memories. A good reminder to lock your car no matter what.
