- Thank you for joining a quick Haxen Bow comparison video where I try to unbiasedly review bows against eachother. Today I compare the Hoyt VTM 34 to the Bowtech SS 34 and honestly I was pretty surprised on how both of them performed against eachother. As always no matter what I think about each bow I encourage you to go to your nearest dealer to try them out for yourself. I am not affiliated with either bow company or the bow shop to sell anything, just simply trying to share my thoughts and opinions on each bow. Thank you for your support I really appreciate it!

I own the vtm 34. I don’t think there is anything not to like!! It’s awesome in every way!
Have not shot the Bowtech tho. Being left handed the struggle is real!!🤦♂️😂
Always enjoy your videos sir!
Shot both bows at my local pro shop. It was a tough choice between the two and I ended up getting the VTM34.. it felt a little more robust and sturdy. Great Review!
Heck ya! Congrats on a killer bow! And thank you for your support!!
I brought the SS34 from Lancaster Archery a couple months ago...love it
Hoyt gets my vote this year, great video!
Thanks for supporting!!
@@HaxenHunt glad to hear your going at it full time now!
@@D_Jacob thank you!! It’s been scary and a bit of a risk but figured I better go all in🤘🏼
Waiting for that ss34 performance vs comfort. 👍👍 Great video.
Nice job on the review. Would love to see you put up the SS34 against the Darton Veracity 35.
When I shot the hoyt I thought it had a nice draw cycle, and felt good. Then I shot the ss34 and it was the best draw I've ever felt. I keep mine on comfort and don't mind that it's not a speed demon, it's still fast enough. My ss34 is easier to pull at 72.5 lbs than my rx4 ultra at 69.
All in preference for sure! The smooth draw is really nice!!
The flip disc draws are a little different for every Bowtech series and everyone should start with the performance mod when trying them. Having shot most of the Bowtechs over the years, owning 2 of them, the performance mode is harshest on the speed bows and not bad on any other. The main difference for all of them is most comfort settings are a straight pull with little to no dump, where as the speed bows have a dump in comfort and then off a cliff in performance.
I’m stuck between vtm 31 and bow tech carbon one right now and can’t decide which one to go with 😅
The bowtech won't match the speed in performance setting either. I like how the Hoyt settles in
The customizability of the bowtech would be my deciding factor.
Not much hand shock in any bows now days. So true for the past 2 gens.. not even sure why they try to measure that anymore. Grip feel/angle, ability to hold at draw/letdown, accuracy, back wall, consistency, weight, however those are really all personal attributes so it's tough to measure those from person to person.
Yeah for sure!! Anything archery related I feel like can be hard person to person.
@@HaxenHunt When I shot the ss34 in my shop earlier this year I thought it was the best bow I'd ever pulled at 70#, however its slower and you can see the wall dump in your vid with the Hoyt.. With speed comes discomfort and my RX4 Turbo still launches a 505gr at 255/260 with a 29'' draw @ 65#'s so.. pretty efficient and I'm not ready to give it up yet :).
That’s freaking epic!!
Do you have a shop
What’s your release?
Should have shot the bowtech in performance as the hoyt doesn't have that option. The ss34 is going to be as fast... you said the bowtech has a better draw cycle, and that's because of the comfort mode. 10 to 12 fps more in the performance mode for the bowtech. Was wordering, why such and heavy arrow!? Huntig a 375 grain arrow is ok?👍
It’s not even close to as fast, even in performance! When you put the Bowtech in performance it now has more vibration, horrible draw and is still slower
BT SS34 is maybe a few feet slower than the VTM when on performance...imo, the draw cycle on SS when in performance, which is what I shoot it on daily, is very comparable to the VTM. It loads up a little quicker then has a slight hump into a more pronounced valley compared to smooth as butter and no hump or valley in comfort. I don't think you can go wrong with either bow...
Both bows are for sure pretty epic! Honestly would be happy with either one!
Also, cool vid! I wish there were more videos out there like this, glad you're taking on these head to head videos.
Thank you!! I appreciate it so much when I get these comments!! Keeps me goin! Some days it’s hard to remember the purpose of these videos but then people like you show their support and it keeps fuel on the fire! So thank you🤘🏼👊🏽
@@HaxenHunt keep with it bro! Just remember failure is not an option, because failure means your back at your 9-5 and not moving in the direction of what you're meant to be doing. I have to take my own advice, lol!
Appreciate it man!! You’re spot on though!
So your saying that they are solid… got it
Very👊🏽
Hoyt all day
Prefer the Hoyt
Sounds like most do! Haha
The goyt is going be faster has more reflex in the riser the bowtie should be a little more accurate especially at longer ranges
All you guys that buy new bows with KUIU camo, Make sure you rattle can it. They just went woke and they want all hydrographics companies to stop putting it on AR-15 rifles. You heard it look into it. A hunting clothing line even asked if people would surrender their rifles to have them stripped of their camo. Guess what color I painted my bow?
I never heard about this.
I just traded in my rx5 for the vtm 34 and Holy moly what a bow !! I absolutely love it my wife is getting jealous of the bow honestly
The ss34 jumps 10 feet per sec. When you flip the disc. Every video ive seen, it varies 10 feet. Literally Everly video was 10 foot exactly. It's very consistent.
Correct! I personally would still run the SS34 on comfort over the performance because having that super smooth draw makes it worth losing 10fps.
Hoyt
Quit freaking saying "tuna billy itty" . Tunable is a better word an modulation, harmonization
Ss34 blows hoyt away
👍🏻🦾
🤘🏼👊🏽
Video makes no sense if you’re choosing speed and u don’t put ss34 in performance y would you compare.I would not quit my day job if I was you.
😘
That’s easy the SS34 kills it in shoot ability. That’s I have one.
