It felt like a huge chapter ending, but also a moment to decide what I wanted my life to look like going forward, especially since it was also the first time in a very long time that I felt like I had no one else to take care of besides myself. Now without both my parents, it was time to focus only on who I want to be and what I truly wanted.This song was born from that reflection. I'm no longer doing what I’m 'supposed' to do, especially as a woman.
