Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I love how the editor specifically put in “derpy” music for the block-plane.
Scrapman has used that music for silly moments in his videos for years and years now. If anything, this video was either edited by scrapman (it has been confirmed that while his editor does do most of the videos, he can do some once in a while) or he made sure the editor knew what some of the songs he used to use most back when he edited his videos were.
Or maybe the editor found out on his own
@@ThePhonax I think that Scrapman and the editor probably coordinated some of the editing aspects of his videos. I’ve been watching for 7 years, and I feel like many of the old traditions with channel music or overall editing style have been kept the same.

In a dog fight where aero was forced to be red, it would be great to see knowledge of mechanics used to make a much faster build than others by having the smallest frontal area.
Smallest Frontal Area might end uglier than ya think... the Aim Assist likes to target at the CoM, and minimum area will = pencil thin middle where CoM will rest...
@JoshuaGanoTyraxLightning Definitely true, but you gotta take the cons with the pros.
I think being able to move so much faster than everyone else should serve a reasonable enough advantage, and with enough wings in a slim line, you should still be able to redirect your energy.

Hello scrapman,
I started watching you all the way back in 2021, they way i learnt about trailmakers is crazy.
I started watching matt (RCE) playing instruments of destruction, and after a while, i started playing it.
Few months passed, and i started looking if there were new updates, and it took me by surprise that there is another youtuber playing it, it was you, Scrapman.
So i started watching your channel, and one time i accidentally entered a TM video, thinking it was an instruments of destruction video.
And i fell in love with that game ever since.
Thank you Scrapman, keep up the good work.

Btw, a little real life fact. The flaps you called “front flaps” IRL are called trim, to help have a steady and level flight. The trim also has independent control! Amazing video btw!
next idea: to make a plane as fast as possible, and then by using a series of "flap wings" try and make it go as slow as possible without changing the look or parts of the aircraft!!!!

Another thing that could’ve been interesting to play around with in this vid could be best aero vs worst aero vs no aero (using attachable block glitch) just an idea, love the vids always, thank you so much!!
You should do another one, exept more extreme. You make a third version that is completly drag glitched and a version that has a ton of airbrakes. I am talking basically the whole lift section, including energized parts
you should do an aerodynamics evolution race
where you have to start with all-red, and can fix a few blocks at a time

Dogfighting in airplanes that have NO green or yellow aerodynamics.
Imagine if one were to build a rad lookin Jet using a corrupted form of the 0 Drag Glitch so instead of 0 Dragging it inflicted Max Dragging so ya could Spawn in somewhere outta sight then fly around like you're in Jello in a Creation that'd look like something that should be easily stayin above 200 MPH. Could be funny to see what kinda Reactions one could get doin this sometime. :P
You should do Hide and Seek with a twist! Like the map is made of cardboard it slowly breaks, it’s made of 8 parts and those parts can be move around like a puzzle, or every 1 minute the hider hast to give their location instead of the hiders.

You, Yzuei, and NCognito should do a dogfight, but you're not allowed artificial lift or gyros, and your planes can't go above 50mph :)
Video idea: missiles vs base where the base has to make an Anti missiles (like the C-Ram or C-Wis in real life) while 2 people attack, basically Defenders vs Missiles

Idea for Trailmakers cooperation challenge: two teams of two people each, you build a vehicle for both teams to use. one person from a team controls one half of the vehicle, and the other person controls the other half. both people have to be pressing the shoot button to shoot. you make truly amazing content ScrapMan! please keep your channel alive.🥺
I'm in agreement with a "all aero must be red' dogfight lol. Possibly even a submarine equivalent too. Could be fun for human-powered torpedo teamwork?

ok, this makes me want to see speed testing/circuit racing with identical vehicles with the only difference being which wedges you use. would be cool to see how much each stage of improvement increases the speed. Is the speed improvement from red to orange arrows more or less impressive than the difference from orange to yellow, or yellow to green?

Multiplayer idea: Flying Brick Race.
Everyone has 150 blocks, 8 power cores, and are not allowed any non red aerodynamics arrows to build a flyer (doesn't have to be a plane, could be a helicopter, blimp, or something even wierder) and compete in a race. or maybe a dogfight, if you prefer.

It makes me wonder, if they were to add a "Fuel Limit" that can run out, instead of Power Cores, where you have to manage fuel tanks, their weight, and efficiency of that, how would that limitation effect builds overall?
