Hey guys! Hope you enjoy this one, I think it helps to show that everything doesn't always go perfectly when you are travelling, sometimes things are hard, but if you keep pushing then everything is ok in the end. It is great to be in Egypt and we are having a great time. See you in the next video! 💗🇪🇬 شكرا

I lived in Miami and moved to Scambodia. A tall Pakistani drug addict with his Scambodian friend try to intimidate money out of me based on a lie after I exposed the latter for having stolen from me when I was living with him after losing a job due to being too nice to the brats and inexperienced. He always called me friend, but later he ended up putting his hand on my neck. I told them I don't fear death because I go to heaven when I die. They will burn forever. My boss exploits me, giving me less than half what I should get, but I'm biding my time. A tuk tuk driver scammed me big-time when I was desperate for a job seeking schools to give my CVRRICVLVM VITAE to, and the scammer called me his friend. I was careless and eager to please others, not wanting to offend them, but nice guys finish last. Not that I'm a jerk. I'm just not tolerating parasites in my life anymore unless it's for the greater good like my boss. In Miami a drug addict atheist piece of shit took advantage of my generosity when I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he said on facebook he was homeless. After I blessed him with a lot of money despite my working as a bagger at a shitty supermarket that scammed me in the paycheck, he threatened to "pay me a visit" for refusing to give him any more money ever since he showed ingratitude to me. I'm so glad all scammers who gave no mercy shall be given none on Judgment Day. I prove the Bible right in my series on the satanic.

Even people whom we got to know over days/weeks still ended up scamming us at some stage. We just felt like we couldn't trust anyone.

Hey Nick, I want to thank you and express gratitude for your honest, respectful, insightful and fun reflections about the places you visit, especially Egypt. Your genuine love for travel, culture and people comes across effortlessly at a time when people across the world are in desperate need to connect, understand and respect one other. Traveling to Egypt without a travel agency in style and luxury is not easy but as you've shown it has its own special rewards. Egypt is grappling to undo decades of political and social problems that impact its own natives as well as its visitors. But we also have, not just in our deserts and oases, but inside us countless treasures to share with the world. I'm glad to have stumbled across your vlog and once again thank you.

It is not so hard not to get scammed, just ignore all street sellers, that try to talk to you on the street. Also make sure you do not need anything, like do not get stuck on an airport without transport to your hotel, because locals will know that will happen and they scam you. Do not go blindly ask for the best tour like this vid shows. Just check trip-advisor or google maps where to get a good tour. If you think you can do better than trip advisor than you are wrong. Only when you are not in a very touristy area you can just try whatever and walk around. Scammers are only where the big crowds are, you almost never get scammed at non-tourist shops or area's.

The scammers make the trip a NIGHTMARE ! Specially if you’re a girl! Like just the fact that you’re a girl it automatically says that you’re weak and you’re a prey! I even got harassed there (and i speak arabic and people who don’t have no idea how low and sleazy they are) so if you were an Egyptian reading this please tell every tourist hunter to stop scamming tourists!! They are ruining the Egyptians reputation because I know a lot of them they are definitely different than what I saw in Cairo.

I was ripped off a few times in Egypt. It is the only place where I warn people to just get a bloody tour and be done with it.
Every other country I've ever been to there are scammers, but I don't speak a word of the language and scamming seems like an industry there. The norm rather than the exception, perhaps.
Before anybody gets shitty at that comment, it is also THE country I send people to if they have 2 weeks to a month an want incredible adventure. Egypt is one of my favourite ever destinations, but get a tour company to pick you up from the airport and drop you off.

I’ve been Egypt twice. Both times I experienced things i never experienced in other countries shops. I had large notes only of Egyptian cash. On both my journeys they offered me to take the items without paying and told me to come back later and pay when I have correct money. It wasn’t the same shop both times. It was actually two different locations. This is something you don’t come across always. First time I agreed and made sure I went back. The following time I put back the items and came back to the shop later on with change. However that’s not to say taxi drivers and other people don’t try to rip you off with price. Worst country I’ve been to in terms of Scams is Turkey Istanbul. Watch out of Taxi drivers. Pay them one note by note or they’ll quickly swap large notes for small ones and trick you with a blink of an eye. Crazy.

Scams I experienced in Egypt: No. 1: "Welcome to Egypt, where are you from? I'm a teacher and want to teach my students something about your country. You come into my place?" (it's a shop) No. 2: "Welcome to Egypt. Here take this as a gift. No, no. It's free, you don't need to pay. (3 minutes later) I'm so poor and I need to feed my family. Can you give me some money?" (No.) (takes the "gift" back) No. 3: "Hello. You live in that hotel? (Yes) I've seen you at the breakfeast. I work in the kitchen. My boss sent me to buy safran from the market. You come with me?" (happened to me three times each day. Some day I just answered that they use a lot of safran, because their friend already told me the same story 10 minutes before. The safran market is of course a tourist market with tourist prices.)

Sorry about the scammer. However as you showed that you can get over anything with a positive outlook and and some common sense. You are probably the most positive person I ever watched/saw in my life. I think that is necessary when you are a traveler. Anyhow I wanted to suggest that you go to Zamalek and and to Nazlet al Saman where you can rent a horse in the desert for a couple of hours for as cheap as 50 Egyptian pounds. And you should try some of the famous local restaurants. Other than that from your previous videos I think you have been to all the truly Egyptian places in Cairo. I am nut sure if you have been to Khan Khalili, but it is a total must if you haven't. If you decide to ride the horse or want to ask about the local restaurants i can provide you with the locations and names and hook you up with a very nice gentleman in Nazlet El Seman. Don't hesitate to ask. Keep on bringing us great videos.

If you decide to move to another city other than Cairo then i would suggest going to place with a unique vibe, Sharm al sheikh and Hurghada is great and all but they are just a cheap version of Hawaii and these places, Cities Unique to egypt would be.
Aswan (colorful, a lot to explore, very very very very unique and wierd in a good way, very calm, a little primitive)
Alexanderia (similar to Cairo with a lot to explore and a very Tumblirish kinda place, a little too crowded, you can get a great shot almost everywhere, old buildings, ocean, kinda like a dirty crowded Rome with an ocean)
Ras Shitan ( Safari in the desert if you are into this stuff)
Dahab (The hub for Hipisters in Egypt, hash is almost as cheap as cigarettes, very artsy place, ocean, very very very very very very cheap, locals and travelers there are the best)

Pero Perhan as for “white”, the concept of white and black in that way came into existence following the trans Atlantic slave trade. European origin people view anything that isn’t black or brown as white, for example light skinned Arabs, or Latinos. But we don’t consider ourselves white. And if white European people were so good looking you wouldn’t bother with squats, tanning, eye makeup, dying hair dark and so on. Every place has beautiful people. And for the record most people find mixed raced people the most attractive. So calm down small man. If we wanted to be like you we would fuck you and procreate with you. It’s not difficult. You go around dividing the world into black and white. That’s how narrow minded you are. Lol.

I'd recommend downloading Uber application, so you don't have to worry about being scammed.. most of the white taxis, also, have a fare calculator based on the destination.. but I'm using Uber or another application, called Careem.. you can find both on the app store or the play store and they're very user friendly! Hope you enjoy your stay, here, and as Nick noted, just be cautious of any unexpected situation.

You’re definitely being nice, there’s scammers everywhere in Egypt. They must of hooked you with some perks in order not to talk down on them. Cairo was a slump when I visited.

In the last video you mentioned your travel mate was French Canadian. I made the maybe dumb assumption he lived in Quebec and you may visit him there.
