Great videos, thanks! I picked up the exact same bike up today, Toronto, Canada. It came fully assembled already. Need to adjust the alignment of the rear wheel and levers. Question for you. I've had dirt bikes before, used, but just sitting on this one, maybe cause it's new but the rear shock is sooo stiff? What's your experience. Mike
make sure you check out the mods for this bike. you can fit 230 honda showa shocks and forks on these bikes mostly without much modification unless you get fancy with the brackets and welding.ect Best thing about this bike if you dont like something you just pop it off go online look up a cross reference part that someone has installed and boom honda suspension. the fame and engine of these bikes are simple amazing and honda 230 pistons.ect work on the zong!
one he barely drove this bike to its limits even and seemed like he didnt wanna hurt it or hasnt rode alot so you need to understand he was jsut out trying it out you cant shit on a entire manufacture because of his first ride out . After it gets all the honda after market parts onto this bike to 230 honda parts this bike is a whole different bike entirely dont listen to all the people with 125 bikes theyre just confused a engine is a engine and a bike is a bike. yes this bike doesnt have 2k in rear suspension.ect and its blah in some other areas because its a bare bone bike ppl but after 1k in upgrades your 3500 bike will smoke most bikes that cost 4-5X that price if its a dirt bike of course and a 250cc...just the carb alone will make this bike go 90 mph easy because of how low this is set up to run lean or closest to stoich it could with the shitty carb it has. They come stock with a leaned out non adjustable carb it kinda runs like shit and will only hit 70mph the way it sits. a big bore kits, a wiseco 11:1 kit, 15t 48t sprockets, new carb and a 530-520 chain and you will smoke most non pro tuned 250cc 4 stroke bikes. EFi can make some other 250bikes end up with a better mid gear throttle response and climb then these carbureted bikes but man.... if your judging you dont have one or havent fixed it up right yet... if you wanna act kewl because you went to a store and over paid for a honda or whatever kewl but dont hate on this man for not wasting his money. Al he has to do is switch his carb and he would smoke these bike you ppl mention lol
Hello there... I have been paying attention to your Apollo 250 RX reviews... I’m really interested in getting one. How has the bike been on your trail riding? How’s maintenance intervals? Would appreciate your opinions on this bike. Thank you.
Ive had mine for 6 years and still runnin steong not fast like dude thinks if youvhave ridden real mx bikes and has no suspension at all but if you do the mods that are easy to do its a great beginner bike. Cant complain for the money.
@@codymitchell2021 hey Cody the bike does good on the highway it runs about 60- 65 is tops on it does very good on dirt roads that’s where I actually ride mine at all the time mostly also put foot pegs on it to double my wife and it seem to do just fine the only issue I had with the bike was I put a Mikuni carburetor on the bike and it done just fine I haven’t had any problems with it I’ve had it for almost 2 years now
The Lifan 250 actually is a pretty strong motor. Upgrade the carb and the exhaust then she will scream. Cams are also available. Dunno why people tag so much on it lol. A bolt on lifan 250 would smoke the crf250l
Always do an oil change on these bikes they come with shipping oil which isn’t very viscous. And it will burn up. You have to put motorcycle oil in these bikes immediately or you can seize the engine
So I got one an I've been have a problem with the electric start it clicks but doesn't turn over ? I can kick start it just fine .. also it seems there's a raddle I hear in the front area
the starters in these if you use them alot or got the show model burn out fast.. one of the only bad things about this bike. i eventually ended up just disabling the starter and removing the battery.ect and going solely with the kickstart. these arent hard to kick over just make sure you start it like a honda ( NO THROTTLE) or it will flood very very fast.
@@DevosWorld it wont go above 70mph unless hes done a carb swap and some jetting. after that its hard to tell iv seen 83-94mph from guys just with the carb swap. after that big bore kits and cams.ect can push this bike to street bike type performance and reliably on the trace also. these bikes are designed for trail riding stock. if you upgrade suspension you can do track and jumps that are more then 5ft. If you change the sprockets and carb you can get over 100mph. if you do engine upgrades it truly hard to tell as it would determine how well you did the overhaul and the adjustments made while tuning. Its a good dirt bike and it will teach you how to fix things and do upgrades like a boss and reward you handsomely with power for it.
look above at other comments yes... just like other bikes if you want good wheelie controll sprockets are needed....also a adjustable mikuni carb preferably so your not limited. also a jetting wouldnt hurt so you have more throttle power at 0-1/2 throttle
Bro you need to rev match when down shifting. Instead of holding the clutch and clicking down 4 gears at once. Your transmission will thank you!!!!! When down shifting say from 5th to 4th rev your engine once with high rpm’s don’t be afraid to really rev it, then pul in clutch and click down a gear and let out the clutch the rpm’s will automatically settle at the right power for that gear. There are sever how to videos online. Clicking down five gears like that is terrible for the bearings in the transmission as well. It’s okay to down shift the way you are every once in awhile, but I would recommend you learn to rev match
7/10 stock ..... 10/10 with 1000$ ish in upgrades and your time doing it. the new 250cc honda trailbike is a 8/10 for me and i wouldnt even want to try and upgrade that thing....... so if thats a good referance
amazon.com or if you look locally most major cities have a shop some where. i live in canada but most cities have places that sell them so i assume the US cities would also
Would this bike be good for me? Im just inbetween 5'5 and 5'6. I've rode previously like a crf150f. not a pro rider or anything just rode a bit for fun. I just wanna make sure this wouldn't be to big/heavy.
This bike is heavy and tall but is great on power beginner wise. I’m 5.9 and I can’t touch and it is about 50 pounds heavier then a crf230. The bike is 300 pounds but overall I think it’s better when you get everything dialed in. For one it looks way better and 2 it has electric start
bruh this bike is the height of my 400 .... the only kind of 250 youll be able to ride are likely trailbikes as they sit quite lower then other 250cc+ bikes
been riding mine so much it would be hard to tell.... engine is solid as iv ever had a dirt bike engine be to me. The other parts that usually ware out have good parts cross over to honda parts after the factory ones go. its a pleasure to fix this bike and ride it honestly
Can you pop up the front? YES...Can it HOLD a wheelie for a long distance? Absolutely Not,... Too heavy. Not enough torque . ...Get a 2 stroke if you wanna wheelie until the cows come home lol
yes with a 12t fron and 48 rear sprocket (and chain because of the upgrade) with a vm26 mikuni carb and 115/27.5 jets. It will power wheelie but if your talking about slow wheelies ...get a 200 or a 150 the weight is easier to manage. Its possible to slow wheelie this bike but its hard unless you got your bike almost to a honda clone.
LOL MAD FAST. That thing is so slow. Weights 270 pounds and only 15.6 hp. A Kx 100 is twice the power and almost half the weight and that dirtbike is for like 12-14 year olds, But it looks decent for cheap.
does 70mph based on the factory settings pre installed onto the factory carb.... one carb swap and the right jets this bike will perform like a 250cc bike 100%. not sure why they limit it from factory like they do the engine is solid af..
its the rear chain guard. if you don't adjust the suspension to your weight like all other bikes it will sag. He hasn't adjusted his chain and its laying on his lower chain guard or rubbing on the upper one if its so loose its flapping. Remember someone assembles these bikes they come only partially assembled.
Good video man! Haters gonna hate, but I appreciate you taking the time and effort to post it.
Much love brother thanks for taking the time to watch
How much oil do you add the Apollo 250?
And does yours run really hot?
