This hits hard :D Yesterday I started P19 and finished P7 after a great race and Zandvoort, today - like your last stint - disqualified thanks to a blinking car and 2 over-zealous Liegers. One day I'll be out of the bottom splits and driving with drivers. Great video as always, Dave.

Nice racing with you Dave. I was the blue Aston behind you. Was really sad when I got caught up in the Scheivlak drama as Zandvoort and GT4 is my favourite combination and usually perform way above my iRating and actually reached a new personal best before this race 😅
Those crashes in the first lap are epic. Always important to qualify in Front 😅
Wow! I'm an iracing n00b and I've been having a TON of fun driving the porsche gt4 on zandvoort this week. Running low 1:43's in qualy after 2 days of learning the track, but the SR has suffered in official races thanks to people running me off track 😅

The aston was the only car i could get down into the :39s this week but i raced the porsche for comfortability

Haha back on your horse. The funny thing about your DQ the other day was you did the deed with Mac. Usually you say Mac “ doesn’t drive like a d-k”. I’d say Mac was out of character the other day, he deserves better. Sometimes a reality check is the best medicine.

Apologies if this is a question you've been asked before, but have you had any coaching at any point since you started sim racing or have you more or less always been pretty quick? Both of your accounts are 4k+ accounts and you race a lot of different cars, but you always seem to have pretty competitive pace. Is any of that due to coaching or just lots of good old practice over the years? Thanks.
Nope, I've never been coached once. I wasn't always up to pace. Just years of practice I guess 👍
I can't wheel the Aston around here to save my life; Feels like about halfway through I absolutely dump truck the front end through turns and can't figure out how to get it to pivot better.
Overdriving maybe? Or try moving the brake bias down a couple percent. Front end gets more pointy, but the rear can get squirrely trail braking
Definitely overheating the fronts, maybe try the Porsche or McLaren?
Is there a quick way to see all racing incidents when watching a replay back? Or do you have to watch everything manually to make these compilations at the end?
This beginning of these incidents was done manually but you can cycle through them using Ctrl numpad 1 & 3 😁

hello Dave, i try GT4 class, and i dont know if i do something wrong, but i just cant do shifting down very quickly like in GT3, i cant use engine brake like i want it, gear dont change at higher rpm. do i do something wrong? what is your shift aid?
The GT4 has much more aggressive downshift protection so you're not doing anything wrong. You just have to manage the rotation more with the brake rather than the rear diff 👍

Sim Racing isn't so much like riding a horse. It's more like riding a frog - it's ineffective transport and you'll probably end up with slimy balls.
