You don’t think he hasn’t practiced that shot lmfao. It’s pretty simple, the farther away you are from the hole, the harder it is to get close to the hole.
@@hadesigniteno I think you are. A skill is to stop backspin it is unskillful to have to much of it….. just hit a hard wedge into a green with a spinny ball and it should rip back, it’s very hard to take it off
For a provisional shot, the ball has to either go the same distance or farther away from the hole. Since it went farther than his first shot that he lost, it didn’t count.
@@curtisgoode804 no, i don't think that is the reason. The provisional ball can't be used since he found the original ball. He must pick up the provisional ball and play with the original ball. Now since original ball was OB, he needed to re-tee again for 3. but then he OB again and did not take a provisional shot. then re-tee for 5. a devastating rule. 🥲
Rory making that putt for a triple actually pissed me off like even after all that it's "just" a triple bogey when I can play a hole quite well and make triple easily
The provisional ball can only be used for a lost or oob ball. Because he found it and it’s unplayable, he would have to take unplayable relief, which is 2 club lengths or hit from the original position. Obviously the original position was the better option. Once the ball is found, the provisional ball is done
That BMW hole is evil...makes no sense in cutting all the rough and leasing some so you believe its going to stop the ball...as a person that works on that is evil hahahahah

Golfers need to stay out of the gym. You saw it with tiger and now rory. Koepka. You gotta stay thin and limber out there. It kills your game and looks stupid
I Like how the title says ''Pros playing like amateurs'' and the first clip is Rory smashing a 5 wood for the distance it would take me 3 drivers for
same, was expecting him to top it 30 meters to the left

is a pro golfer ripping backspin so hard the ball comes back off the front into the water really comparable to an amateur?
Yes done it before and even backspun it hard off the green onto the fairway plenty of times

Any regular golfer will feel pain watching this video. Glad to know these do happen to all of us.
18.5 handicap and this was horrible to watch
These are all quite difficult shots, even for a pro. I'd say they faired better than I would have. Keep at it boys!

Beautiful.
I wish when I played i could have 15 people to help me find my ball.

Why did Gallacher have to hit a third ball when he had already hit a provisional second shot???
