Wanted to let you know we finally got our 11’ ramps and set up the boards just as you described and it worked great! Was and felt extremely safe loading and unloading golf cart. The ramps are expensive but i definitely think worth it. They don’t even move. Ty
I just want to say this is a great video and I appreciate your content. I have a 2015 Silverado 2500hd with a 6’7” bed. I used your method and it turned out perfect. Thanks
When we purchased our cart, the guy helped me strap it down to our trailer. He added a strap from wheel over the canopy. Seems like it would help with the upwind
Awesome idea! Been trying to think of a way to keep from setting my golf cart on my bumper when pulling my camper with no tailgate. Thanks for the video man!
Can’t remember the length but always does great with the wood supports on the bumper. I just measured from the front of the truck bed to the bumper, then measured the golf cart from how the tire sticks out in the front to center of rear tire. Works great
We have the same truck and really like the setup as I am in the market for a golf cart to haul while towing a my TT. Can you please expand more on the orange straps at the front of the bed and how you secured them to the boards? Thanks!
Once u make ur boards to the length of the bed just drill a hole about 2in from the edge of the board and feed the strap hook through it. Then hook one end to the top D ring and the other to the bottom and tighten down slightly. This way the won’t slide at all
Hey man got a quick question, what do you do with your tailgate? just wondering if you bring it with you when going camping or not and where you put it if you did bring it.
Going to pick up our first golf cart in the morning... How exactly did you bungee cord the windshield? Also, do I need to run at least one strap over the roof? Or no?
I actually take the windshield off now. No straps on the roof. Just make sure the bolts are secure then u should be good. I’ve had it up to 80mph and it’s fine.
Did you have any sagging once you raised the tongue jack with your 3/4 ton? I am going to be trying a similar set up with my F250 and am wondering if I will need some additional support? Also - looking at the same ramps, would 8’ers work too, in your opinion? My cart is NOT lifted like yours...
What is the exact measurement of your bed from cab end to the edge of bed. Mine is 6ft 4". I'm wanting to do the same but not sure if my bed is long enough.
@@almostoutdoors ok thanks. I know you said yours was a 6 1/2 ft bed so I measured mine and I thought mine was a 6 1/2 ft. but measured 6ft 4". I knew 2" would make a difference.

You my friend are awesome!!! I appreciate that so much brother. It’s so worth it when one person is satisfied!!! Thanx again! 👍🏻🥃
Exactly the info I was looking for. Thx!

Easiest way I’ve seen so far ! Thanks for sharing
Great Idea, going to build the same setup. Thanks for this detailed video!
👍🏻 no problem

Sure thing!! It’s worked out so far for me. Good luck 👍🏻 safe travels
Very nice
That looks like a standard 6’6” 3/4 ton box, not short bed 5’8” box?
Standard 6.5 still shorter than the 8’ which was why I made the video
And thank you for making this video
How long is that golf cart and how did it do with the floorboard on the rear ?
Can’t remember the length but always does great with the wood supports on the bumper. I just measured from the front of the truck bed to the bumper, then measured the golf cart from how the tire sticks out in the front to center of rear tire. Works great
Do you have any pics of the front strap setup. The one that is holding the boards in place
I don’t. It’s about 4-6in down the board and about 2-3in in from the outside
Stupid question, how does the roof of the golf cart do at highway speeds?
Does great. I do take the windshield off tho

@@almostoutdoors awesome! Thanks for the feedback.
One more thing. Did you but the extended shank for more clearance?
@@ericashby5803 the shank?
@@almostoutdoors yeah, the adjustable ball mount shank. They make em’ up to 18”. I was just wondering if that is something you had added.
What kind of golf cart do you have? Gas or electric?
Electric
You can literally just load the cart with the tailgate on and down and strap the same way.
True but when I’m towing my camper the tailgate hits my electric jack.
1:06 😂😂
Really like this setup. What model cart is that? I’m looking for the same size for a 6.75 bed.
I believe it’s a 98-2013 body style

Hey man got a quick question, what do you do with your tailgate? just wondering if you bring it with you when going camping or not and where you put it if you did bring it.
I put it inside the camper on the queen bed. Seems to ride good. No problems yet 🤞🏻
Good Video. But I use a landscape trailer 14ft.
was there any issues with wind on the roof while driving on highways?
Nope
What length are those ramps
11ft folding

Any issue with the loading ramps putting all that weight on the bumper when loading. I’d be afraid to bend it down
None. I was at the beginning but everything seems really strong. I mean after all it is a ram 💪🏻 🤣 let me know if u have any issues 👍🏻
Nice video very helpful, we have almost same set up. Did you end up having to remove that rear foot step?
Yes just to be safe. Good luck be safe 👍🏻
@@almostoutdoors What kind of ramps are those? overall length?
@@toddc.4749 11ft folding ramps from long ramps.com
CAn you tell me what the overall length is after the wood is added? So from front by cab to end of wood?
It should be the same. The wood only goes to the bumper. It test on the bumper
@@almostoutdoors I need to know the length I am trying to determine if my golf cart is similar in size or larger than yours.
83in
@@almostoutdoors Thank you
Thanks for the tips I just finished this today and my cart is currently in the back of my shortbed truck

Hey bud How long r your ramps
11ft folding….awesome
Not a short bed
6.5…not 8ft

Step 1: Get rid of the short bed, buy a long bed.
Step 2: Load golf cart

Don't trust those D rings
Mine broke and almost lost my motorcycle.
