We all know how beauty in itself can be subjective matter. However, there are some other aspects which may be measured objectively. Mr. Bruson carries out the voice the correct way to do it: on the breath (sul fiato). Every time you see and hear him on stage, you're in for a master class on theatrical poise, on legato, on chiaroscuro, and on how an arch with the longest lines can be sustained. Un vero miracolo. Bravissimo!

I agree totally with your comment. In the theater, I wasn't vey impressed with his voice by itself, but, this video is a lesson on how this aria should be sung. Fantastic the passagio, the long breath and above all his line of singing. I don't get tired of listening to it. Fantastic.
