- During our day in Destin we went and had lunch at AJ's, then toured the boardwalk there at Destin Harbor. Lots to do here and definitely a place to go if your looking for a fishing charter boat.
Just a fun day away from the shop enjoying more of the nice local sites.

on our few days we went to AJs and ate then went to the pool the went to margaritaville and went to the beach
I been their in the Summer and Crab Island be pack the Irish Pub Restaurant is a nice place to eat brunch

Looked chilly! Have either of you two been to the McGuires there in Destin? Someone at work the other day was telling me it's as good, if not better, than the one in Pensacola.
I have not been to the Destin location, but the one in Pensacola I've been to many times!
McGuire's is my GoTo for lunch and dinner when I am in Destin. Their steaks are true PRIME, however you can ask for Choice and keep it under $40. They also have an upstairs that I hope to try next time. Oh, and Irish Cream coffee!

That's a public area, so I don't think they blow channel dredgings there unless there was a scheduled project.
They do perform beach and dune restoration with dredging. Panama City just did a big project about a year ago; helps a lot with erosion control. Most of the actual channel dredging for navigation just gets blown to other areas.

I have been to Florida many times but I have never been to that area of the state. Looks great, will have to check it out sometime.
It’s really funny to see people bundled up and walking on a beach. Up here it’s too darn cold now, the sand is almost rock hard... it was 39oF in my shop this morning, I’m jealous. 😀

I know this is an older video so I have no idea if you will even see this comment but if you haven’t given the Sea Blaster a try you definitely should. As much alcohol as you would like included in your ticket price. Definitely a fun time. Maybe not so much for young kids. We made that mistake but adults for sure!

I will be in Destin June 12-19,2018 and I can't wait. Thanks to the great video's and suggestions here on UA-cam I will be experiencing some of the best Destin adventures there is to be had.
Really enjoy seeing you and Abby having a good time together. Love Abby's positive attitude and enthusiastic manner. If she's half as nice as she seems on these videos, she's a keeper. Love the machining videos and have learned much from them, but the Abom Adventures videos are excellent as well. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to post them. Have you ever been to Orange Beach, Alabama? if so which place did you like best?
Been there many times, even have a video on some of it and more to come soon. I like Orange beach better only because it's more local to me and not quite as busy. Both beautiful places though.

Man, I really enjoy seeing these places. AJ's looks like the kind of ocean side place you see people eating at in a movie. At first I thought it was The Fish House back in Pensacola.
I sure am not a boat guy Adam , I no they say B.O.A.T means " bust out another thousand" and I am a land lover ..LOL.. No zip lines for me .. I enjoyed the walk and talk .. Great share Adam & Abby !!

I want to move back to FL. Grew up in Clearwater and had to move with family to just north of Atlanta GA. I am so sick of it here, people don't do anything but go to church and eat. I want to move to north FL, need to get work lined up as a natural healer. I've reversed everything on myself using magnets with biomagnetism. Love Destin! I go every year! The donut hole is the best donut place ever and great breakfast! So many great restaurants there and love the beach!
Courtney, Next time you are there try Destination Little Donuts. It is pretty Cool little place packed in the back of a shopping center.

Ive heard of alot of owners running engines like Detroit diesel.
Probably an 8.3! Could use some better lifters and a modified turbo housing though!
Back in the day the 2 stroke Detroits were pretty common because they could run the engine in reverse eliminating the need for a gearbox with reverse. I think their poor fuel economy has resulted in many of them going out of service.
Never knew you could run them in reverse! Knew that it was getting hard to find mechanics to work on them! Most people couldn't wrap their head around that scavenger principle with the supercharger!
Sure they don't want to work on them because they set the rack too touchy and then couldn't get the blower door shut fast enough? lol

Destin is fun. I'm down on the Peace River in Charlotte County, FL and occasionally make it up there.
