thank you for taking us along luv to run in the field
I lookup Darf equipment and the wheel design has not changed. Still have those flat spokes
They are good rakes!
that 77 wine is so soothing
Yes! I like that sound too.
Hello Ross
Is the wheel rake a Oliver! Love the 77 always like to drive them get a whine you can’t forget!
Yes it’s an Oliver 105 wheel rake. It’s a soothing sound!!
Thanks Ross. Hope you have a great day! I just looked at the rain gauge I got 1 7/8" of rain in Des Moines IA.
Thanks Michael! I wish we’d get some rain soon.
In a pinch you can take off every other wheel on the on the wheel rake. It will flip hay into 3 small winrows and give you a tetter effect. I kept an old farmhand rake aroud for years to do this.
That’s interesting! I think you can flip the wheels over center and fluff the hay but I’ll have to read up on that.
That 105 rake is like having a girlfriend on meth. Sure she's missing some teeth, but at least you have one.
lol
I actually made a joke like that but cut it from the video. I didn’t want to offend my meth viewers. 🤣
@@rosstheoliverman , That's a strong demographic that can't be ignored.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris and likely more exclusive to attract than the 13-17 age category. If you can attract the toothless meth viewer, your channel will grow exponentially, faster than an explosion in a trailer park.
@@rosstheoliverman Are the explosions from their meth labs blowing up?
Do you know if the 4-175 is just a newer version of a 4-180?
It is the replacement for the 4-180 but There’s a lot of differences in them. The 4-175 has a lot of improvements particularly in the articulation joint.
Ross do you keep extra parts for tractors, combine all equipment of farm? Thanks again Ross great 👍 video keep up good work
Yes, I try to.
Nice video, Ross! I have no experience with wheel rakes, but as I watch them, always seems like the wheels with the teeth don't turn fast enough, yet they work! You have 2 good rakes there and both Olivers seem to be running well.
Thanks Charlie! That wheel rake is amazing that it actually works. I think the same thing, it looks slow. Yes everything worked well in this one!
Which rode better?
They each have their strengths. The 107 probably picked up the most because that 105 needs quite a few teeth.
👍
Nice video! I have a 107 rake too and we've used it on straw mostly. I remember putting new teeth on to replace the ones that were missing or broke. It's a nice rake. I always wanted a 105 but they are hard to find.
I never saw 105’s for sale until I bought this one. Now I see them every so often go figure. I also see several of the New Idea ones which are identical.
🚜🚜👍
Thanks Tom!
