Jimmy and Beverly Murphy lived with me and my husband, Buddy Tatum around 1962 or 1963..Budddy passed away March 4th 1970, at 42 from brain tumor, we had 2 children, boy and a girl. Beverly had their little baby boy with them at our home too. I almost forgot. Buddy took him to meet Merle Lindsay and he went to work for Merle. Merle Lindsay had a band and they played at Lindsay Land which was above Farmers Public Market in Oklahoma City, Ok.Also traveled and played other cities. Loved Jimmy's playing Steel Guitar and horn back then. Jimmy Murphy and Curley Chaker are my favorites. They played alike a lot.
Yvonne Conner I agree Curly Chalker is a favorite and now Big Jim too.Found him on UA-cam playing on a live video of Johnny Paycheck original doing a Memory of a Memory just great and now my favorite Paycheck song. Thanks and sorry for your hard times.

I asked Jim Murphy before he passed, about his style, asking if he was mentored by curly chalker on c6. He said no, that he helped curly. ????????
