This is awesome. I was just trying to figure out what to use for shims. I'll watch the full video thanks man. I used me a Dremel to carve out my chassis, Was quick and easy. Again great video and thanks again wait I just saw the manly rip 😂 I feel personally attacked 😅
I am interested in an update on how that esc handles temp wise with a big rig like that. I am shopping around for a better esc for my fairly heavy bomber 8 to 9 lbs would be real interested in this if it holds up
Nice, what are the advantages of swapping over to this ESC and Motor? Why not keep the stock motor and upgrade the ESC? Curious as I’m about to start tearing into my Ryft pretty soon.
My stock motor ran hot all the time. Especially on 4s. You could feel the heat through the skid at times. I got tired of the esc shutting down due to heat. This motor has zero heat problems so far. The esc is much smoother than stock so that’s obviously why we swapped it.
Just picked up the copperhead to throw in my ryft kit im building up haven't opened it up yet im trying to figure out if the mamba x is worth the extra 30 bucks before I open it
Hey Matt how’s the mamba monster x holding up for u in yours?! I switched up from my hw to a mamba x 1/10th n a Holmes puller pro r v2 2700kv and loved it til the esc got crazy when I switched from rock race to crawler mode! Mines pushing 10lbs now think I need to bump up esc size, and input is welcomed
Love the monster x in mine! No issues at all and plenty of power. I really like the aux cable on the castle setup also. I have my drag brake on a dial so I can adjust it on the fly.
Awesome I’m gonna bump up, shoulda went that route when I switched from the HW set up, it was awesome but to have drag brake on adjustment in the ryft is amazing!!! I really didn’t except the mamba x to give trouble and it didn’t until the Ol girl fattened up with all the treal n vitavon parts 😂
Have this system in my ryft but it's cogging really bad even tho it's sensored . Any idea what that would be ? I pull up to a rock and try and go over and it's light it sputters
If you’re crawling with it then it probably will cog a lot. It works well for bouncing and hitting things with more speed but definitely not a crawler setup. If it won’t really do either well I’d try a different pinion size maybe. That could be part of the issue if the gearing is way off. Have you programmed the esc at all? That could be an option as well. Make sure the throttle is calibrated and connect it to the pc with the castle link if possible.
@@carson3658 actually just ran it this wknd a little. I locked all 3 diffs because I blew the front and rear really fast. Went ahead and locked all 3 and never looked back lol. I just recently put a 13t pinion on mine and it’ll stand straight up (or loop out) if you hammer it at half speed on 3s now 😂
I prefer the MIP tools. I also use some cheaper ones I got from hobbyking but the MIP is the way to go. More expensive but they work insanely well. Best to just spend the money straight out of the gate imo. I’ve gone through several sets of cheaper drivers and still on my first set of MIP
@@2fmrc did you have any issues with the link under the motor having clearance issues. Mine seems to be kind of hanging up on the bottom of the motor. Thanks.
Well I wouldn’t really recommend those wheels. They are some cheap amazon wheels and he had a lot of issues keeping the bead on them. He actually don’t run them anymore because of it. The tires are great though! Here’s the tires bit.ly/3vBboqF
I’ve had good luck with these RClion brand wheels from amazon. They are what I normally run on my ryft and haven’t lost the bead once. Decent price on them also! They have different options. I just always search for Rc lions brand. Even running their 1.9s for a long time on my crawlers and never lost the bead. amzn.to/2Zho2yY
Nice cool looking buggy and installation 😍👏
Good video, definitely a help for what I am about to build

Very nice vid. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for watching! Really appreciate it
Great video, they are a awesome truck.
Nice, thanks for the vid!
Very good job and so fast 👏👏😊
Can I get the part number off that HR spacer package ? Please and thank Ya, you put a link I'm a little slow. Thanks bubba great video

I’ll definitely let ya know. He ran it pretty hard this past Sunday with it installed and had no issues.
Does Mamba X/Castle 1415 combo fits without modifications mate?
Hey mate, planning to put 1415 castle inside, does it fits without moding,or should i go with 1412?

Holmes hobbies puller pro 2100 bolts right in with no mods necessary.

What are those wheels? They look real good on the Rift.
Just some amazon specials. Tried to find them to link for ya but don’t see them
What’s the smallest sized pinion you got to fit with a 42mm motors?
just a little power

@@2fmrc thanks for the input ! Il look into the programing bur darn I wish it was really smooth like some of the other ryft setups I've seem ! Oh well
@@2fmrc 17t pinion i think I'm on stock gearing. Do you still run your ryft ? If so you you run open diffs or lock all 3

I have a max 8 combo but my motor is huge ..what motor fits with no mods?
Random question... What tool brand to you recommend for hand held drivers?

@@bcochener I've only broken one MIP bit ever, and it was more my fault.
With those spacers do the stock size screws still work holding everything to that center piece?
Yes I’m pretty sure I just reused the screws. It’s been a good bit since the install but almost positive I didn’t need new screws.
@@2fmrc did you have any issues with the link under the motor having clearance issues. Mine seems to be kind of hanging up on the bottom of the motor. Thanks.
Is it the smallest spacer in the kit
Yeah that’s what I used. It will actually fit without the spacers but it’s a very tight fit lol
@@2fmrc ok I may try without and if I don't like it space it I got traxxas spacers already
Where did you get those axles?
Those are the vitavon housings. Not cheap but insanely tough lol
What size tires are they
can uh bring out the wpl please
Lol I will again at some point I’m sure. At the moment this ryft is just too much fun 😆

Good Lord that thing is getting ridiculous. You're not playing fair with your crawlin buddies. Lol.
Gotta open that purse and buy a rotary tool.
Got one. Just to lazy to go to the other work bench to use it most of the time 😆
