A good tip for players beginning ( As a new player myself). It seems the newer mobs lack the ability to jump higher then us. So all we have to do is go on a higher platform where they cant jump and use the bow and arrow on them untill they die. This works for all the mobs and the thief king and the warden in the mountains. Edit:Most bosses are cheesable,even cata.
for the races, the vampire race makes you take 25% more damage at all times but heal on kill, and the frost race makes it so that any attack or status with the frost element (even frost weapons) deals 25% more damage

The thief king Vuvuzela + That is better but only if you want to grind for the Vuvuzela

I got a mondo ring early game which makes all bosses have the mondo effect apon me hitting them which gave me 3x drop and traits on weapons
