The Smile I Hide
A person hides their pain with a smile so bright,
hiding the struggles in the dark they silent fight.
before the rainbow the strong rain will arise,
along with the tears they bear inside.
A dull and steady shade, everything was gray.
my mind is screaming, i can't turn away, A thought shifting from joy to heartbreak day by day.
i hate this situation where in my mind i stay.
It will be always a maze in my mind,
a constant race, where i'm always falling from behind.
from chains of reality searching for escape,
like a clay in the hand holding my fate and shape.
In the quiet corners of my mind,
a storm flashes bold and unkind.
it goes to my ears it fuels my fear, yet no one sees and no one hear.
The spark in me it's been gone for a while,
through the darkness i fought a battle.
pretending its fine, when it's not, never. for strength lies in my hand that holds the cleaver.
I stood up strong and pretending, it's better to say like this than explaining. everything was part of the story that is about to start,
but no that behind the smile, is a breaking heart.
Mental health is more than a fight,
i wear a smile trying to hold so tight. each night is always a battle to get throughout, i'll find my way
and maybe someday, i'll see the day.
