I was waiting eagerly for this video yesterday! John is 100% right about the rivalry I didn’t say the name of that state til I was 13. Penn state is embarrassing and certainly not our #1 rival even when they had a better chance of beating us than TTUN did. I read that there are buckeyes in the back of the collar for the stadium series but I didn’t see them myself
I’m a fan of both, not big on the stripe down the middle of the RW helmet but I get what they were doing there. Both are unique, I do like the CBJ shoulder patch, and I would consider this the 2nd best CBJ jersey, the cannon logo on the current 3rd takes my top spot still.
You guys are going to love the Seattle & Vancouver trip. Did it a couple years ago and it was amazing. Hope they overproduce Detroits jersey so I can get one on sale. The Al and stitching details are great.
I think they are both great, they fit the assignment well by having a Stadium Series aesthetic (big numbers, big logos, big stripes), without being too ridiculous. I do wish Detroit could have tried something a little different, but I am a wordmark hater, so that may just be me. My main critique is that this was an excellent opportunity for a colour on colour game! Red vs. Navy Blue would have totally worked, but the NHL dropped the ball there again, unfortunately.
Honestly love these both. Always wondered why CBJ didn't move to that blue third as their primary for years but this stadium series jersey is gorgeous! I'm a wings fan so really like ours as well - the helmets give me asterix vibes!
I really think this maybe the best Blue Jacket jersey in their history. I've always liked their 3rd jersey but this is best Blue Jackets jersey. I would like for them to keep it as their home jersey and make a road white to go with it. The Redwings jersey remind me of the Michigan Wolverines Hockey jersey.
Columbus - nice jersey, needs some silver in the collar to break up all that blue, logo looks HUGE probably wont be very comfortable to wear maybe and yep would be a great re-brand home jersey. Detroit - meh, very very meh for me. Could they not try something a little different - like a sublimated wing on the large red section of the sleeves. And that 'PR' about the stitching - that's a bit of a stretch.........
Imo both teams did the assignment well. I also pre-ordered a Werenski as well. CBJ should keep these in one way or another as a third. Detroit wasn't as strong I will say but it's still well done. Looking to pre-order that as well. All in all a Home run in a football stadium
@@jakez199456 Man, I hope Werenski plays in the game. This happened to John when he ordered the Seattle Winter Classic Grubauer jersey and he didn't play in the game. Thank goodness they wore it again later on in the season. Hopefully Columbus does the same, too...
@@uglythirds Yeah I hear yeah but even still as long as it has the A in the Ohio state outline (similar to MN's 78's with the MN outline) I'll be fine with it. (Plus I forgot Jenner was the captain and not Werenski but I still like Werenski)
As someone from Michigan, I can't believe there's even any question as to the intensity of the Michigan - Ohio State rivalry. Does Penn State have a countdown clock in their locker room counting down until the next time they play Michigan? Does Penn State cover all the letter O's on campus when they play Ohio State like the Buckeyes cover all the M's when they play the Wolverines? Seriously.

Gotta disagree with John about the baseball look, the script font is akin to university of Michigan and msu hockey jerseys

These guys such fans didn't know jackets in the west for half of existence!
Columbus and Detroit used to both be in the same division. Columbus always sucked when Detroit was in their formative years so it was never a rivalry.
