Brook trout don’t live in unappealing places. Often times I could argue that the brook trout take a back seat to the beauty of the mountain streams they live in. But every now and then the beauty of the environment and the beauty of the fish collide and create a hidden gem that videos just do don’t justice too. This video showcases one of those incredible creeks!
In this video I took Fish Hawk fly fishing for native brook trout. I went blue lining and found a new tiny creek that was full of brook trout. It was a great day of trout fishing with a good friend of mine.
I hope everyone enjoys this UA-cam video!
Straight up from the green lichen patch on the bolder center of the screen. He’s finning slowly and you can see his shadow on the stream bed. Beautiful!
Yessir!!
The trout was nearly in the center of the frame, great video.. beautiful natives
Brook trout live in the flowing emerald green mansions of the dark green forest, no wonder there so beautiful. Enjoyed the video. 👍
3:15 that fish got straight yeeted
Looks like a National Geographic magazine cover. I could just watch and listen to the water, but my favorite trout were so beautiful. Also I never fished such small creeks and that alone keeps me coming back. Yes, catching those colorful brookies in holes you find makes for the total video experience. Nice goin'.
Thank you for the kind words!!
This is really making me want to head out to the mountain ma again! Brook trout are just stunning! Awesome video man! Keep them coming!
Scenery and fish are always so beautiful. Well done again guys .
Thank you so much!
What a wicked video. I saw the fish in the pool..
That river in the middle of the forest is very nice.
Beautiful mountain stream fishing for native brook trout, it doesn’t get better than that
One of best videos by far definitely go back to the creek !!!
Thank you!!

I would like to see u fish that gorgeous creek again and yes that fish was the most beautiful fish in the world! I’m sorry I’m lost for more and different words I can use to describe the beauty of the fish! Thanks!
Awsome and very nice water!!!!
Can't wait for my next trip to the PA wilds to blue line and find them beautiful native Brookies. October for me. Can't come soon enough.
I really like the way you talk about the beauty of the brooks. And I share your passion for flyfishing this way.
Nice looking fish!
Absolutely enjoy watching you catch those beautiful brookies, using that fly rod like a magic wand 🪄, and that net like a catcher's mitt. Awesome releases and as always tight lines. Thanks for making this old veteran's day, Tony
Glad you enjoyed Tony!!
Brookies are gorgeous. I love sticking them out here in Colorado. Cheers.
Yes please , do that awesome creek again
Nice fish, they all look like this in the northeast :-)

Goddamn it took me forever to see the fish in the rocks haha! I had to comeback 3-4 times!
Hahaha they’ve got some good camouflage!! Thanks for watching
Brookies, my favorite trout.
Yeah, like that last creek.
Very nice! (As usual) love the small streams
Thanks Larry!
Can't decide if I like catching native Brookies or big browns more love em both
Beautiful! Are they tasty?
I see the fish! 😁
Thanks Jon and FH! Another great adventure in God's country catching the fish he created and painted for our enjoyment.
Thank you for watching!
I loves rod fishing in rivers and that scenic creek in the wild is awesome really refreshing video.
Thank you!
I need to get up with you and let you put me on some natives I can't seem to get on them myself always end up landing a some wild browns and bows but them elusive native brooks have been hard for me to pick up on
I love watching these videos because I see myself in you. I spent innumerable hours on the water in high school and college in Western North Carolina. There is nothing more beautiful to me than a native Southern Appalachian Brook Trout. The old timers here always called them Speckled Trout.
Thank you!! Yeah I had never heard the term "speckled trout" until I fished in WNC. Glad you enjoy the videos!
Such a beautiful stream - unsurprising its trout would match! Thank you for another wonderful outing!
Man. Jealous to not have those fish in Texas!
Question were do you get your flies at
One day we will do a collab 🤙🏽
Nice video what weight rods are you guys using
3 wt
Up on the east coast of Canada it’s not uncommon to catch them 2-4 lbs, and sometimes even up to 10-14 lbs if you’re lucky. Brookies get HUGE in the right conditions, I have a few secret holes that you can catch some real monsters in on a wet fly/nymph late spring early summer (when they are running in from the sea) or dry fly in late summer/early fall when they’re spawning and have these beautiful colours like this.
That said, Brook trout at ALL sizes are some of the most beautiful (and delicious) fish you can catch.
What kind of flies are you using?
Beautiful natives as usual. I wish our streams in Pa had that much water.
PA is in desperate need for some rain
What kind of maps do you use for blue lining?
Mostly google maps
Dude, it's like a tropical paradise with awesome fish. Wow.
I absolutely love trout fishing! Keep up the great videos!! 😎
Thank you!
beautiful stream. it never gets old seeing a brook trout sip your dry great vid. i went to a high alpine lake today and caught a 18 inch colorado cutty, very pretty.your videos are the best
That's awesome! I did some of that myself this week
Whats a few good dry flys to catch them bad boys on ?
Black Gnat and Adams both work good and also a Royal Coachman.
The fish is just on the other side of the sand to the right of the rock that's getting illuminated by the sun.
Beautiful creek man. Sorry I’m so late to finally checking these vids out, but better late than never! ✌️ ❤️ ⛰ 🎣
what was the fly please?
Love the mention of wetting the hands, fished trout for years didnt know, only learned that a year ago you should mention the use of nets and how its way safer to catch them in a net, and the proper net to use like you use.
Those brookies are so small
yeah would like to see more of that creek, fish it some more. should show us what flies you are fishing with too.
Let's gooooooo boyz!😁👍 Stunning is the only word I can think of for this vid man. The scenery is sumthin beyond imagination, the fish...dude....thier coloring is MIND BLOWING!🤯 Not too sure I'd EVER release this location to anyone besides Fish Hawk...🤔....well Andrew too...but no one else. This place you found is nothing short of a God blessed BEAUTY!😇👍 Great vid, really diggin the colab with Hawk. Plz keep these vidz comin my friend. Peace ✌😎
What part of the Country is this? What state I mean?
WV
Awesome video man the scenery was beautiful those gems where so amazing. You need to do a video in the fall there because the colors of that place would be beautiful
I couldn't agree more!!
Makes me wanna head east to see these beautiful areas firsthand.
You definitely should!
I remember when my dad and I could catch those beauties on the Little Truckee River between Boca Reservoir and Stampede. The good ol' days.
It's good that you don't tell where you are..
Man I gotta do some trout fishing again! I been so hung up on smallmouth bass and multi species tournaments that I haven’t gone back to my roots for a while! Next video I post will have to include me catching some trout! Thanks brotha for the sick vid and keep tight lines🤘
What do you mean by "blue lining?"
It's a term used for trout fishing where you basically just follow blue lines on a map (blue lines on a map represent creeks or rivers) and look for new areas with trout.
@@hardmanfishing Thanks for that. Used lots of topos when I lived in the northwest.
That looks like a lovely creek. Such beautiful, colorful fish! Do you ever fish with a tenkara rod in these small creeks?
I have a tenkara rod that I've only used twice, but I plan on using it more
I did not see the fish.
"super unique"?
Go back
you should be more gentle instead of letting them hit the rocks, yes you release them but when they hit the rocks they die when you release them, it only takes one bump
