Hi Melissa. Like you, I don’t keep bags I don’t wear. Looking at the bags I sold last year, a lot were too heavy and unfortunately not all web sites list the weight. I sold my mini Woody tote, nice but loud to wear in public transports and my Polene No 1 mini with the chain but I kept the backpack.
Thus us the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I just have to tell you you sound like the nicest most genuine down to earth person and I really appreciate it. I love when people on UA-cam seem like they could be your next-door neighbor and are being 100% honest with you. So thank you for that.

Glad you were able to sell your items that no longer brought you joy. I also have several duyp bags and many slgs and they are all exceptionally well made items at reasonable prices. Each to their own. I have let go of around 10 bags last year, donated 5 and sold 5. This year I intend to be more mindful of any new purchases and intend to let go of any bags that I simply dont reach for anymore. Thanks for another great video ❤️❤️

If a *hotdups* place sells high-quality products at a low price and makes consumers feel ashamed, then the consumption concept of consumers in this era is problematic.
They always mess up the painted edges with overpaint, such a pity. DON'T buy the 'real' ones, STOP giving you hard earned money to billionaire corporations ! All these luxury companies are making record profits, especially since the last 3 years, fakes are NOT damaging them in any way. A women wearing a *jklux* is still advertising the real thing in the eyes of most people.
I love your authenticity and your colourful background ! I started last year to get into handbags again, and sold my tiny old collection: LV Speedy and Mini pochette, couple Coach, Longchamp and Alexander Wang Rockie bag. I then invested that money into new pieces and went for TheHorse Clementine, Songmont Mini Drippy Roof, Coach Swinger and I'm considering to get either the Cecilia (knit version) from Zadig&Voltaire or the Polène Numéro 10... If anyone has good feedback on them I'm open to hear them! :)

Great tips! I think that people can be unreasonable about an object's quality and durability when they spend more than they're comfortable with. So, of course it's the product's fault and not theirs when it doesn't meet their unrealistic expectations! LOL! Your videos always teach me something and make me smile. Selling can be very frustrating. Most of my items I sold last year were NWT. I didn’t charge retail but folks were still lowballing me. I’m being very mindful in 2025 so that I don’t (hopefully) make the same mistakes. Keep enjoying DUYP. The quality and prices are great. It’s Ok to be brand loyal to Coach, LV, etc. from a standpoint that you get high quality items at a comfortable price point. However, it’s just silly to take it to a personal level being that these brands keep it strictly business with us. TFS❤❤❤

Thank you for speaking about Polene, I feel the exact same way - they’re nice quality, but none of them bring me joy, I don’t feel that spark when I look at them 😩 There’s always something that I feel like is missing, either design wise or functionality wise…
@ I completely understand. I feel the same way. I usually send any handbags that are brand accepted to the realreal but the return is very little. Let’s say it’s a Kate spade I used only twice it cost me $200 I get like $10-20 max. But I try to think about someone else is using it and it’s out of my closet. If I sell on poshmark it’s a better turnaround but sometimes it takes a year or longer for it to sell.
@ I give a lot of my contemporary bags away to friends and family. It’s not worth the hassle of trying to sell it, shipping it out, for such a small amount. Every time I see them use it, it makes me happy. I feel like my money wasn’t wasted.
