@@nothority_artist Yes I did. Quality over quantity, look at it like this. A Large bucket of water will hold more pouring power than two buckets of half the size. The 3 way system is 2 Mid sized Woofers and and one coned tweeters. VS One larger Woofers and ribbon tweeters. Like i explained in the video it makes more sense for me in my room size and use case. Thanks for watching!!☺️
@@8notes_ Any advice on static mix? I've spent so much time on compression and other things that I've neglected that part. I guess 80% of me struggling at mixing comes from that step .
I have them both, i know the adams give more pressure and that’s great, but the mtm’s still give that honest balance you need to hear. Just add a few avatone’s and you’re good to continue 😎😊
I wonder too i have apartmet and i have ni room or space for montor placement, so i have adam a7x, but i dunno they dont sound much well in this room, i wonder if small ones can make balance better? Ik multimedia ones? if i listen close distance and quiet volumes?
Nice video, mate! I use a pair of Adam A7V + SVS SB-3000 for my PC's gaming and music audio. I'm super impressed with the A7V after years of using passive speakers. Agreed on the iLoud Micros. They punch way above their weight class and work great form my MB Air's mobile audio.
Yo my guy. Thanks for the video. I got the A7Xs in the krib (perm) location in Atlanta. I know you're confirming different level. But would you recommend the MTMs for when i'm overseas and don't have a permanent setup (friends holding equipment I can't travel with)?
@@mrosemusic yes brother, 100% the MTM are great if you’re on the move or trying to setup where you wont be permanently. It’s smaller, fits in a 50-60L duffle bag and SOUNDS amazing sufficient for production or mixing. So yes! I recommend!
So how come you didn't try the iLoud MTM Mk2's? They just dropped the new ones recently and maybe all the problems you had with the original MTM's were solved on the new one?
No, the first model was great, so i can imagine the new would be better, but it’s more of an acoustics difference, the small body doesn’t move enough air around for my use case, Size Matters☺️
I’m pushing a tiny pair of Abacus C-Box3. Mine are made of concrete and are straight alchemy. I’d put them in the ‘super nearfield’ category by way of their diminutive size. They are fully analog with no DSP, no bass reflex or tuned ports. Just solid concrete boxes that play from 20khz all the way down to 35hz. They are truly something and yu can hear the whole frequency spectrum. I reckon yu could probably take the standard wooden ones on the road with yu, with the right protective casing. The concrete ones being too heavy for portability. Anyways if anyone’s in the market, do check em out. They are truly hi end mini marvel’s 🔈🔈🔈
Agree that if you can avoid DSP and do things more as nature (physics) intended then you will absolutely benefit . That means a properly treated room etc. Having said that, IK multimedia just released the new version of the MTMs with vastly improved everything and it's creating quite the storm.
You're right but the Precisions are still more DSP centric and not acoustically prioritised. It sounds really good but not as "Natural" take the ribbon tweeters in the Adams for example. Plus the precisions cost twice the price for a pair.
At 11:22 I meant to say “Digital To Analog” not digital to audio😂
you changed three-way speakers for two-way speakers ???

I found this video very insightful!
It helped me with a decision I’ve been trying to make for weeks and you made it make sense!
Great video! 💯
Oh great! I’m glad you found it helpful. Good luck on the new pair!
Well, damn, I have the a7x and I’m looking to get the MTM‘s for reference, perfect video!
Thank you! Having a fresh pair for reference is a great idea because you’ll have a different perception of your work on different playback devices!
That the part of our journey. You wake up and you learn something new that is groundbreaking. 😂.
You’re absolutely right! It’s a wonderful journey!

How do they compare to the precisions?
@@dranek i haven’t tried out the new precisions but judging from the size of the speakers, the acoustic vs dsp thing i mentioned will still apply

Thanks for watching broski! I see you watched till the end. I appreciate that so much.
I'm gonna get these next payday , I love adam audio and my T7Vs have served very well. just want something a lil better
Great! Enjoy the pair
Would you get the T7Vs over the MTMs for moving spot to spot or are they too big? I also noticed the MTMs actually have more wattage...

cause they are bigger?
Just bought the iloud MTM new 199bucks..
Price was just to good to pass on it
@@Joey_Jumper wonderful! Congratulations on your new speakers.
Adam's
Yes!
You realize IK has bigger monitors right? Should’ve just got the precisions. Bigger speaker, handcrafted and still has the dsp.

Lol, this was not a sponsored video in any way, these companies dont even know me. If you watch the video, I’ve explained Why 😊
