I've had these paints and brushes for about five years and this is the first time I really understood the painting process of One Step. Your a great teacher, so glad I found your videos, Thanks for sharing your talent with the rest of us!!
Extremely well explained and demonstrated, calmly and carefully explained right down to the type of brushes used, how and why. So greateful for your guidance, especially the upturn on the plumeria petals - so easy when you know how! Thank you.
Thank you so much, April. Your teaching videos are very useful to me especially the tips about how to hold the drawing pens and how to release the pressure etc. Much appreciate your sharing.
April, you are a brilliant teacher! And yes, your paintings are fabulous....you make painting look so easy. Thank you for sharing detailed techniques. It's very useful.
Hi April, What a wonderful video. You instruction was clear, slow, and concise. Your work is beautiful. I have never seen the flower petals side turn demonstrated. It adds so much demention to the flower as well as the color variation of the flower petals and leaves. I wish all demonstration videos were as well done as yours. Job well done, you're a great teacher. Thank you so very much for sharing. I'm afraid you're stuck with me as a follower now. I can't wait to view the next video!
Your work is amazing I love the soft way you instruct simple that everyone can understand and such a soothing voice so pleasant. thank you for your tips and videos.
I wish I had found you when I was learning to paint.. now what I know seems like I didn't even scratch the surface!!! nice, simple, creative instructions.
Hi April, love your work. I really appreciate the camera work (we can actually see what you're doing and it's steady), you use a good mic, the pace and clarity of your instructions. How we need more english speaking tutorials. Maybe it's just me not knowing how to do searches for them. I really look forward to more of your tutorials. Thank you a bunch
Thanks April. I love your videos. You paint slower than many artists which makes it easier to follow and understand the brush movement. I recommend all your videos to new one stroke painters on Donna's Facebook group. I didn't know how to flip the petals and this made it all click. Please post more videos.
Pam Tennant Hi April, I ditto Jo Ethridge's post to you, I love your videos and your style of teaching, I would love to see more videos by you. Thank you so much.
I am a first time painter so i watch all of your videos. I love the way you explain brush strokes and I am practising painting your Daisy. Thank you for bringing out my inner artist.
I love the Plumeria, I lived in Honolulu Hawaii for a year, Navy brat. the plethora of gorgeous flowers in Hawaii makes it hard to pick a favorite. this is also my silver wedding ring. Love it, thanks, you are an amazingly talented artist.
I love your paintings their so beautiful I just found your channel today. It's so relaxing when I see you paint and learning the techniques as well. I don't paint but when I watch your videos it makes me want to start.
So easy. I love all your videos. Now Iam really happy that my classmates appreciated my paintings from you. Because you're the one who taught me how to paint. Thank you very much
Hi April, I just wanted to say thanks. It was about 8 months ago now since I first started watching and learning how to paint one stroke. But sadly due to being diagnosed with cervical myelopothy... and a cervical fusion that has saved my life but has also left me with very limited use of my hands. Yet Through this hard time in my life you have continued to inspire me to want to paint again. Which I do so hope to try again. As it is now though I am able to use a stylus to type for short periods of time. I truly love watching your videos..you are very talented. I have a few flowers I had painted last year but not sure how to post where you can see them. Take Care
noooologic Hello. So good to hear your story and that painting is bringing you joy. Continue painting when you can. It is very therapeutic . You can always email your paintings. I would love to see them. April@AprilNDesigns.com Thank you for watching. Take care.

April, you are SIMPLY AN AMAZING ARTIST. I am a face painter and I use your techniques for face painting. The response from all my clients has been so great. You are also a GREAT TEACHER. A lot of my clients ask for gardenias. In the future, only if you can do a tutorial. Again, thank you so much for your superb talent. Best, Marisa
+ruthe proppi Thank youu so much for your email. This technique is wonderful for face painting. Have you ever thought about doing it on the arms and legs. Adults love it! Looks like a temporary tattoo. I know there are body paints that are water resistant and can last for up to 7 days. That would be great to do during the summer at the beach or at a pool party. Think about it! Thanks for watching!
+April Numamoto Hello April, Thank you so much. I tried it and it works marvelous. Thank you for taking the time to reply and your comment was so helpful and now I have a new venue for face painting. Thank you so much. Best, Marisa
+Tanya Knipe It may take a little practice. It does get easier. The important part of this painting technique is making sure there's plenty of paint inside the brush. Thank you for watching.

Absolutely beautiful, as we say in the Uk - I have all the gear but no idea ... you make it look so easy. My paint is good quality I thought, (peabo) but just comes out so thick ad clumpy.
Hello Martin. I think the problem is that you are using good quality paints. Save those for your landscapes painting. You should be using the FolkAart Acrylic Paints found at any craft store. They're under $2 a bottle. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful you are talented! Do you have a tutorial on wisteria by any chance. I looked but can't see any. I would love to paint wisteria blooms. Thk you, its so enjoyable watching you paint !
