Don’t buy that. Minimalist guide to raising chicks.

Here’s the thing - if you search on Amazon there are hundreds of products that you can buy for raising chicks. It’s truly become a pretty large industry with toys, brooders, treats, etc. BUT you really don’t need them.
Here’s is my tried and true list:

Ok, I do not need more chicks... but I love chicks so I had to watch your take. 🙂 I like your heating pad idea. If we have them without a mama, we have used a heat lamp (but you are right, they are a risk) or if a mama hatches them out we bring the mama and the chicks in the garage and she takes care of them. Either way, I love cute little chicks!

What side of town are you in? My folks had city ordinance confiscate their chickies in PTC maybe 10-15 years ago

@@JM-lo8xu ugh, PTC is super strict. I’m in Dekalb county- there are some rules that we have to make sure we follow - otherwise we are allowed chickens
