I am 67 years old and live in New Zealand. My life and my family life mostly in Mumbai / Pune area underwent lot many stresses. To begin with I have experienced and enjoyed the life which was more or less having elements satisfying our Indian core culture. But as Mumbai / Pune started becoming slaves of model people unknowingly started losing happiness factor . Maharastra received accolades of fastest growing state etc. due to sudden growth of chemical / Mechanical Industry around Mumbai Pune. But in this "Development Yajna" people were sacrificing themselves and their core culture. As this Yajna grew it produced Monsters to kill the life of common man and life was not worth living. I therefore took decision to migrate to New Zealand which is a very good country but yet many Indian people who who were born and brought up in Indian culture do feel goodness and happiness of our traditional Indian cultural warmth. I thank Rajiv Malhotraji and Gurumurthyji to have given us detailed scan to comprehensively know where exactly our Arteries got blocked . Excellent video.
This is the real meaning of Buddhi-jeewi , whose VISION NOT ONLY ENCOMPASSES OUR BHAARAT, BUT , ALSO Vasudhaiva kutumbakam , unlike those who returned undeserving awards won for psychophansy of the erstwhile congi looters , Balram Morel . Long Live Bharat . Bharat Mata ki Jai HO !
Wow ! The most lucid exposition of Western philosophical developmental construct and re-emergence of alternative Indian development model I have ever heard . Thank you!
All colleges and universities of our country must encourage students to watch the intellectual discussions of this channel to better understand our own civilization and ourselves.
Excellent analysis, Brilliantly articulated. The unsustainability of the western economic model has been evident for some time. But I have not heard the root cause being analyzed with such clarity before
Very engaging. What a brilliant explanation. Extremely thought provoking. S Gurumurthy is great in explaining in simple terms a great economic model . This is really feast to listen to two great personalities. Eagerly looking for Part 3
Wow wow wow! My respect has increased a lot for Puri Shankaracharya Shri Swami Nischalanand Ji. He also said something like this , the relation of caste, communities and economics and how to ensure tradition transfer of skills from one generation to another and ensuring communities livelihood since birth etc etc etc. He was very confident about it. I heard him so many times but never realised until I heard Mr Gurumurty. Our Traditional system etc was so perfect before it got corrupted and deliberately misinterpreted to brainwash public so that they accept new model of west etc. OMG what a revelation!!!!
Great. Revolutionary yet traditional economic model for growth. A decade or so earlier “ Hindu rate of growth” was a euphemism for slow economic progress. Hope, in future, for the sake of Bharat and the world “Hindu Rate of Growth” would mean sustainable growth, reclaiming and further improve our natural resources lost/spoilt and healthy life for all.
One thing to note in such discussions is the calm relaxed atmosphere and the healthy exchange of ideas even if some are new or are opposed but have a similar goal or underpinning. !
In a nutshell, Shri S. Gurumurthy has basically shown how India (or rather, Asia) celebrates nonlinearity while the West celebrates linearity. All real systems are complex adaptive systems, which are inherently nonlinear, and the traditional culture of Asian countries (India, East and Southeast Asian countries) is deeply rooted in it. Excellent video.
Namaskarams! I do hope that the conference about the Indian relationship-based economy has been postponed only due to Covid-19. We truly look forward to it. 🙏🏼
A brilliant video with two great men. I am an Indian born and raised in the UK, which I am very fond of. From watching this series however, I truly believe the future will be with India. Not the West, not even China, but Bharat.
Having seen quite a few Gurumurthy videos, I am familiar with the arguments - though it is always a pleasure to listen to him. What is different about these videos is the excellent technical quality. Kudos to Rajiv ji.
Mr. Gurumurthy ji is really a brilliant economist... This conversation has been really eye opening for me about my perception of the economy culture and society in general. Thank you Malhotra ji for this wonderful interview
Inspiration discussion - A resounding and time bound game changing surgical hit for the INVIGORATING DEVELOPMENT is the need of the hour......We want NEW INDIA and ready to transform and thrust us into becoming the next SUPER POWER. Just like Anil Bhokil the Demonetization Guru, I only hope S. Gurumurthy would put forward his fiscal and development ideas to the Honorable PM Modi. Thank You
Is it not CRYSTAL-CLARIFYING OUR MINDS, RATHER THAN , mind boggling ?? In fact, rubbish is thrown out of our minds. Am just elaborating on your comment Sagar Chapale.
Sir Its really amazing talk. Yes! We have a responsibility to educate our children. Its the culture that keeps you Strong, motivates you to Evolve, gives Support and shares Victory! Such a deep concept is imbibed with relation in indian tradition where at the same time you live & enjoy your family life and contribute in making the nation stronger with complete freedom. Deeply rooted & Proud Culture.
A successful family enterprise is like a sports team. Everyone knows his place on the team and when the ball is his he goes all out. Personal relationship should not overide the place on the team. Families were built around brothers and difficulties arose when inlaws were brought in. I feel this should be given special attention.
This is mind blowing. I have learnt so much in this series that triumph my life learning on sociology, economic etc. Thank you sir for sharing such a wonderful insight
Beautiful analysis. This is what one Mr.Seeman,a chief coordinator of the NTK party from Tamil nadu is also saying. Globalization and centralizing the economic policies will not help our country. Identify artisans skill groups and encourage them. Beautiful idea. This will make India great again.
It's an eye opener. Hope everybody especially the younger generation understand the relevance of Indic socio economic model. It became even more relevant in this post covid era.🙏
Amazing! These are kind of talks and subjects which the young young of India should listen and understand as that is what is going to take this country forward. Thank you Gurumurthy ji for this insight and thank you Rajiv ji again for helping us see the great individuals we should be following.
Extraordinary & Brilliant, but spread and effect of this enlightening knowledge will be exponential if attached to films, stories, serials, documentaries, examples, whatsapp etc
Absolutely insightful and mind blowing. Within my circles, I have often discussed that modern economics does not put a $ value on labour provided by a wife in cooking, cleaning, child-bearing, rearing children, educating them early on, and most important of all - giving them sanskars for valuable life experiences. The meal that you buy in a restaurant gets counted in GDP, but not the one a homemaker cooks at home. Had there been a value associated with all this work, how would the GDP calculations look? I know it will be horrendously difficult to calculate economic value of all this work, but at least the value could/should be recognized by society. Our Dharmic society did recognize contribution of all different sections of society, but the current Western model creates fissures based on faulty indications of economic value added.
Such discussions should be the base of our everyday talks, intellectuals will only drive us out of our colonized programming to a more free and traditional approach. Thanks sir, for the gift of this ideology. Hope this comes to the everyday practice.
The interview is excellent. It was very enlightening indeed. However there was a slip of the tongue while quoting the shlokah. The correct shloka is as follows: त्यजेदेकं कुलस्यार्थे ग्रामस्यार्थे कुलं त्यजेत् ग्रामं जनपदस्यार्थे ह्यात्मार्थे पृथिवीं त्यजेत् tyajedekaM kulasyaarthe graamasyaarthe kulaM tyajet graamaM janapadasyaarthe hyaatmaarthe pRuthivIM tyajet Sacrifice one for the sake of the family; give up a family for the sake of a town; sacrifice a town for the benefit of the nation; also, leave the earth for the benefit of the soul.
Easily one of the most momentous discussions in Modern India .. at least to the public eye. Downloading all three interviews to FORCE FEED IT to my two young sons. They just HAVE to watch it ... or else ...
This was an excellent and eye opening discussion... It makes me really anxious to speculate as to how many of our policy/law makers know of the things discussed here... I am afraid to guess that it is not enough... It also worries me to realize how many of the mentioned indigenous micro economic systems might be classified as black-economy and hence harmed by our politicians... I really hope everything on your channel gets much more exposure than it currently has!
Impact of culture on economics. 14:04 : family vs contract 16:18 : social capital 16:40 : Difference between west and east if defined in one sentence, it would be contract based approach vs relation based approach
Very unique video which talks about the Indian case study . The family concept is strnght we must retain throughout to talk back to world. It was great to learn how to understand better about our civilization and our selves is to travel . Thanks for your guidance .
Truly eye opener conversation.. About women.. That's why all advertisement.. Shows woman as main lead.. Make them feel special... Make them want more for self.. Family.. Children.. We feel happy seeing such ads.. But.. Screwed by those Marketing mindset..
Thank you very much for your videos sir, they are always educational and inspirational. Hope you produce more like these related to economy, culture and education.
If the Reserve Bank of India is following the British Model then it is a privately owned bank as is the Reserve Bank of America that was established on Jacal Island in 1913 by private bankers.Somewhere I suspect neo British Imperialism via so called Federal Reserve Banks.
