To everyone having the problem duplicating the transformed layer - there is no exact replica that I could find However, what I've found works best is Duplicate Layer = Ctrl J then Transform Path Again = Ctrl + Shift + T This can be a bit awkward to do, repeatedly so I would record this as an action and map that to an unused hotkey
Very well done, thanks. Hoping to share with grandkids over the holiday. I am using CS5 and can replicate your designs with two issues. First, I do not get the new layers like you do, using the keyboard shortcut but the spiral advances properly. Second, I cannot figure out how to save the spirals, all I get is a blank shape. Can you help?
It's been a long time since I've used CS5 and I'm no longer familiar with its interface, so I'm not sure what advice I can offer. You might want to do a search for "Spirograph tutorial CS5" which might yield better help. Good luck, and thanks for watching.
I can't figure out why it does t make new layers when I coppy the original layer using the controls you suggest This results in a empty shape whit the outline of the spiral I've created and the spiral is only visible when the shape is selected because all the lines glow then I've selected the no fill property for my original shape, I think I've done everything like you say I'm using a mac I would really apreciate your help
Hi, i am facing the same problem. Rasterizing the rectangle layer helps with this problem. If you find a different solution without rasterizing, please let me know. I do not want to have to rasterize the layer. Strokes lose a bit of quality
Thank you very much for sharing this information & knowledge, God Bless You

You got a good voice and nice way of explaining :)
This reminds me of fractals. Imagine doing this but setting in equations to simultaneously do these. Do you know if that is possible in Photoshop?
i don't know if it is normal but when i use the command repetition, each step i have to push enter so that path could be visible
Una pregunta como hacer los demas figura que vi en la imagen como el romboide y otras figuras
