Just returned from a trip to my home town of Belfast, where my family moved away from when i was an infant because of the violence/civil war. There are some really weird feelings about being a stranger in your homeland and a foreigner where youve grown up. Truly alone in a city on a hill. By the way, what's serendipitous and weird is that I didn't know about the conflict and a guy stopped me on the street in the early 90s and asked me to donate because there were child soldiers, so I set up a monthly payment (on a random piece of paper attached to a clipboard) and donated for years even when I couldn't afford to. This was before the internet so we didn't know much about it at all but I just felt like it was important to help the kids caught up in it. I'm so glad you were able to get through that awful experience, and so impressed that you are able to transcend the bitterness and anger that most people would rightfully feel to find the generosity of spirit to share what you do to help others. You are astonishingly talented, and I hope your voice reaches millions.
