    Do you put your seedlings inside or keep them outside? I normally use a soil-less mix for my seedlings since they don’t need the nutrients when they are babies. I usually wait to add compost until I up pot them.

      Mine are outside and covered, until it drops below 35°, then I bring them in.

    Great tips I have never purchased the vermiculite I mix my own soil and seed starter but will have to try the vermiculite. I have 55 gallons of fine shredded peat moss I am working through so that's what I generally use for water retention issues. I never understood why people are afraid to touch the manure mixture it is aged when you purchase it they would not be able to bag it if it was still off gassing.
