If I fail I can’t catch another but everything else remains normal they can faint as many times as needed. Essentially I wanted to fight as if I was in the Anime and only catch Pokémon I happen to come across and not actually hunt for specific Pokémon. So you can easily have plenty of suboptimal Pokémon you’re forced to work with. Beginning was harder than normal and a few struggles constantly. But not impossible

Have you ever considered a mirror mode challenge? Like every gym leader and trainer has to be battled with the exact same team that they use. Biggest hurdle I can think of is not being able to swap teams during the elite four and champion. Edit: Maybe use a full team of Ditto for that last bit? You technically have to become their team members to win.

He built up his Altaria and Roselia well, Delcatty stopped being good when I had to forget Attract in favor of Faint Attack, Gardevoir has a much harder time dealing with the many Poochyena users, and I never want to raise a Magnemite again. Wally's Magneton knows both Tri Attack and Screech. The earliest it can learn either move is by keeping it as a Magnemite until Level 44 when it finally learns Screech, then immediately evolving it to learn Tri Attack at the same level. If you decide to evolve any sooner than that, you'll be lacking Tri Attack until LEVEL 53. Bite me, Wally, you did not keep a Magnemite unevolved for that long.
Uhhh, Zwiggo, you do know there is actually a rom hack in where you can play as wally and as you progress through the story, the story will be the one giving you your team members. Wally doesn't even have a water type on his team :/

A new challenge You can only use moves that does double damage if minimize is used Example :- Heat crash, Body slam Stomp Steam roller etc. Gen 6 challenge
If you haven’t already, you should do a run as Steven stone. It would take some messing around to get both fossils and metagross, but that could be a fun run to do.
