I ran across this tune for the first time on a somwhat odd place, the game Fallout 3. Then i made a search for it and found your version, and i love it. Keep up the good playing!
Even if you haven't played it in a while my man, this is the best solo piano version out there of this tune! Everybody else's left hand did not convey the "right" feel to the song as you did, and I like the melody played in octaves up top too! Very cool cover bro, keep striding!
I always love seeing people play AG because it's such a well written and just amazing tune, but when it comes to lyrics i only hear the ones sung from the new broadway cast (2012) and sutton foster, and the verses are a tad different, or people just put them wrong; but because im a nerd and i love this musical more than anything: Times have changed, And we've often rewound the clock, Since the Puritans got a shock, When they landed on Plymouth Rock. You seem to have a moment or two of figuring-it-out at the beginning, but once those brilliant arpeggios take us into the main theme, you are off to the races! Just great. A request I'd like to make is "Puttin' on the Ritz." I bet you could have a lot of fun playing, and we listening to, that one.
This video is just so full of mistakes on every level. I am glad you liked it though. I have a feeling if I would have played this correctly, you may have fainted! LOL... Allen dale.
Thought train was: Hmm not sticking to the score are we? > Well he's certainly got that ragtime style going on > Shit this guy is good... > How awesome would it be to be in a 1920's bar sipping on scotch or something > *subscribe*
@Songsmirth I started out very off kilter on this song. When we taped this, I hadn't played this song for 16years. I feel bad I posted it! Anyways I did the best I knew how tro do.
“I hope I can get through this”
.... ends up killing it
Yoker Chris lmaoooooo right
Sorry for the many mistakes, but it had been nearly 22 years since I had played this.
allendale1962 rest in peace

Some of the lyrics go right over my head-very topical to the 30s or whenever it was, I suppose. Thanks for the full rendition!

That's great! Could you tell me which firm produced this piano? I like it.
@herelies I've watched this video like 100 times and I still let out a guffaw each time. :D
Would you mind if I used this as background music for my videos if I link to this video in the description?
This video is just so full of mistakes on every level. I am glad you liked it though. I have a feeling if I would have played this correctly, you may have fainted! LOL... Allen dale.
You gotta play the song "I'm sitting on top of the world" by al Johnson .
@congressman92maxwell Thanks! I made a lot of mistakes on the Verse of this song, but the chorus did well. LOL... sincerely, Allen Dale.

@DerVergesseneKraut Thank you
The left hand: 😎
@HardbeatAcolyte thanks.
I am... amazed, also so jealous of your talent. How long have you been playing? And how long did it take for you to be able to "play by ear"?
Thought train was: Hmm not sticking to the score are we? > Well he's certainly got that ragtime style going on > Shit this guy is good... > How awesome would it be to be in a 1920's bar sipping on scotch or something > *subscribe*
That was excellent. I am very impressed how effortlessly your left hand goes back and forth! Do you have the sheet music or is it all by ear?
Hmmm....thanks.
I am unable to do any upgrades to my music right now. what you hear on you tube stays the way it is. Sincerely, Allen Dale.
