Deluxe edition I would get. I would get Ultimate edition but i'm not really into the CaC DLC content added and 3 days early access to the game. I got other games I could play in those 3 days before the game comes out just to spend another $10 meh. I only care about the game and the DLC characters and even if I didn't get the Deluxe edition, its still $90 same price in total if I bought them separate or bought the deluxe edition. Collectors edition is a RIP off. $260 and they dont have everything in the game which they supposed to. They only did that to make you spend more money. The game is finally out! Finally got my collector's edition. The statue and the quality of items is better than i thought, but the best part is.....It actually did come with the full dlc content and season pass!!! I can't believe it. After some of the crap i got after one of my comments saying that it does come with it, it actually did! I guess Australia got a different collector's edition or something but i've got my season pass. There really was some mixed messages but yeah, i'm pretty happy in the end. Hope everyone else has just as much fun playing this game. See you fans online!
Don't even buy DLC for character pass, buying early will remove the joy of when it releases for free a few months from now. And the Exclusive shirts are cool, but is it worth the money, Nah. You'll only regret it once you find that the fits are being worn by a bunch of herbs that also bought ultimate, only to regret it when the game settles down. Then later, you buy the DLC in game. It depends on price, but then you might have a choice of what characters are shit or worth it by then, and save even more money by buying only the good ones. However, if they're slick pieces of crap, they will include the nine in a pack of 3 each(as I heard elsewhere) and give one good character per pack of 3. In this case, you will be shit out of luck.

The developers are getting paid the same amount regardless of if the game sells a single copy or 100,000,000. It's the higher ups at chunsoft and the publishers (bandai) that will reap the slider rewards, and they're already rich so who cares. However if the game does poorly they might choose to lay off some employees, so pirating en masse can still screw over those at ground zero if a little indirectly.
I'll just wait till I hear the final complete roster before DLC, If the final roster pulls me in then I might pre-order. Otherwise I'll wait till all the DLC is announced and buy it at a bargain bin if not at all.

I got the ultimate edition, but you have to understand, collectables like that are rare and unique and are usually worth way more than $200 in collector shops, not to mention, that collector stuff raises in value over time. Its not flex, its not a waste of money, if anything you can make money back off of buying the collectors. I've been reading through the comments and watched the video, and almost everyone seems to think that the collectors edition does not come with everything. This is incorrect. (Unless its diffrerent depedning on where you buy it), the collector's edition comes with everything the others do (not the early access), including the 9 character season pass. I agree it is definitely overpriced but you still do get all the good stuff plus a steelbook, some art boards and a fantastic figure of the the big three! It's probably sold out by now, but if any of you are thinking of not getting it because you think it doesn't come with dlc, think again. Do a little more research or even look at the google images, you'll see that it does. [I'm not having a go at this channel btw, I just wanna spread the word]. Only the first season is included since that is when the game first dropped. All other seasons came out later so those have to be bought sperate
